I have a camping stove that I will be bringing. I use it for my chili, but if you can't find a place to plug a crock pot into, you can heat it on the burner.oaklane2 wrote:I am hoping to contribute to the tailgate this year. My oldest boy has a soccer game at noon so 2:00 is the earliest that I could get there. I am planning on bringing some Jambalaya. Would somebody have a way to heat it at the tailgate/plug in a crock pot.

I'll have my power inverter there. We had good luck keeping the pulled pork hot with that at the KSU game. The inverter is rated at 500w, so you may want to check the bottom of your crockpot to make sure that it is below this and you should be good to go (plus leave us a little power to turn on a TVoaklane2 wrote:I am hoping to contribute to the tailgate this year. Jambalaya sounds good...I've always wanted to try making some, but never have...good stuff!

Logan and I will be there.
We are thinking about getting in at about 10:30, play a round of 9 hole golf (feed the lake monster), and get done about 12:30. Which will leave us only 3 hours to tailgate, kick field goals, watch the team walk, play in the Kid Zone, drink at the Falcon Club....
We'll be parked just south of the scoreboard in the season pass lot, but we move around alot just taking it all in.
Extinguish Eastern!

We bought a generator.....power shouldn't be a problem!hammb wrote:I'll have my power inverter there. We had good luck keeping the pulled pork hot with that at the KSU game. I should be there as well. If I can find a place to crash on Friday night I'm hoping to be up for the hockey game against UConn (I'm oh so happy hockey season is here!!!
). I'll try and bring some libations, and maybe even some of my famous cornbread if I can find some pans!
Two things:

2. FF - do you still have those fries and tater tots from the Kent game?

My first choice would be a panda, because it'd be cool to have, but I understand they're hard to get your hands on nowadays. Second choice would be a Grizzly, that could be fun.Bleeding Orange wrote: 1. Hammb - I owe you bear. Let me know what you want.
Either way I want to be just a cub so I can train it to do my bidding.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I will most likely be there at some point with wife and kids in tow. She wants to do the "other" homecoming stuff too. I told her there is no such thing and the AZZ tailgaters are the best!

This is shaping up to be a great weekend. Mrs. Freak's parents will be out of town this weekend but we are still spending the night in Huron. I told Dana if she didn't want to be in BG by 11AM, let me know and I'll bring the Freaklings with me and she can drive her dad's car over later. That way I can stay later after the game as well.
We'll be spending the night in Huron Saturday night as well. Too bad that hockey game vs UA-Huntsville is Sunday.
I'll have the grill if anyone needs to use it and TG's Bud Lite (just kidding dude! LOL). I want to be in the lot no later than 11 AM. That means the Freakstyle is leaving Huron by 9:50 AM.
I can't wait to Tailgate!!
GO FALCONS!!! ROCK EMU!!
