When we go four wide I would like to see Ruiz, Partridge, Barnes and either Charles or Brantley. Ruiz impressed me Saturday as a bigger target with good hands and he's not afraid to make the tough catches in tarffic. Partridge is proably our best total package at receiver. Barnes is the guy who can best make a play with the run after the catch. Brantley is a veteran but Charles probably has more explosiveness...however he is still learning how to play D1 football.
What this group lacks is a true homerun hitter. The guy that can take it deep and blow by a defender. It also lacks the guy who can go up over a defender and get the football...like a Sharon or Smith did. Ruiz and Barnes has the size to do it, we just haven't seen it yet.
As log as we are talking receivers, I'd still like us to use O'Drobinak more. That 24-yard catch and run on the first drive was sweet.

BTW - Where has Marques Parks gone? Did I miss another injury or player leaving the team?Rollo83 wrote:When we go four wide I would like to see Ruiz, Partridge, Barnes and either Charles or Brantley. Re: Wide Receivers
I thought he got hurt earlier in the season, but I'm not sure on that. I thought I remembered seeing him go off and thinking how bad it was that he missed much of last season with the broken leg, and to go off so soon.Redwingtom wrote:BTW - Where has Marques Parks gone? Of course, I could just be delusional.

Due to work restraints I have only been able to catch the BG vs Tosu game, and I haven't really been able to keep on the message boards. Where has our high flying offense gone? I realize that they are a young team, but it seems that our coaches don't have much confidence in AT's arm..... What gives?
