(Do we not have enough members for a capital "B" and "G"?)
I don't klnow about any of you, but I was extremely relieved when we got our charts for pregame this year and it said bgsu and not BG. The BG just wasn't exciting enough, it always seemed lack luster. bgsu all the way!
It used to be different sets for each homegame. Small case bgsu for the first game. Falcons for the second game. "BG" for homecoming. Finally there was the falcon head - which was always a bitch to pull off.
Falcons and the falcon head have been my two favorite one that I've seen. The head must have been a tough one, but we're also a tough band...
For pregame in '02 we did a similar version of bgSU that we do currently, where it all appeared lowercase. In '03 it was the Falcon head, in '04 it was the combination of the number 80 into the BG, and '05 it was just the BG. of course, now we have the bgSU, which when I first saw it, I immediately thought that the idea was taken from what we did in '02.
personally, I'm a fan of the bgsu from 2002. why? well for a few reasons. because the drumline was actually apart of the drill and not off in the little block we're always in as of recent years and at least to me, it looked alot cleaner/visually appealing to have the ENTIRE group in the form. oh well. that's just me!
oh yeah, FYI, the cymbals in 2002 were in the "tail" of the 'g' that year....as if you cared, but i just felt like sharing.
i'm also a fan of the Falcon head in pregame....but only when it's done correctly. if it's not, then I agree with Emily....the Falcon looks as if he has some form of medical condition, of which I'm sure Emily is learning about at MUO....which is unfortunately attached to that school up the road....
boo yah.
