Man does this burn me up....it just adds insult to injury. After we lost to NIU, seeing teams like 0-8 UCF and 1-8 Ball State suffer near miss upsets against NIU, with UCF losing on a last second field goal and Ball State falling in overtime.....I makes me sick. Man I wish we would have beaten NIU!
If we don't go bowling again this year, we can thank NIU. I hope it doesn't happen, but it already did in 2002. That was one time too many for me.
NIU pushed to break by teams combined 1-16 in the MAC!
I know it's not easy to win on the road. I don't have to ask anyone or look any further than BG, that's my point. We lost to you (NIU) on September 24th, I remember it all too well. And it might end up costing us big time in the end, but I hope not.
I'm not trying to take anything away from NIU, you beat BG straight up, no excuses can be made. It's the way BG and NIU have been playing ever since then that's got me irritated even more now about that loss than I was back in September. I wish we could play now, but it's not in the cards and that's the way the chips fall.

sure excuses can be made, if the game wer played in the middle of the season like last year theres no chance we lose. I don't think NIU is playing very well and we came off a game against a I-AA team and that isn't a way to prepare for a big MAC game the next week by playing on the field against a I-AA team. Oh well s**t happens, we'll smoke NIU next year at home if we are still in the west.
