I think I remember him from the Hudson Brothers show. They were a singing trio. One of them married Goldie Hawn and is the father of Kate Hudson. The puppeteer's name escapes me though.

Who's the female the other person posted?

I may be waaaaaay off here, but my first exposure to reading girls' butts came from EMU. Their cheerleaders had EMU on their cheer-panty-uniform thingy, and the guy sitting behind me at Millet in Oxford, asked, "Why do they have Emu on their butt? Isn't that a bird? Why did they write stuff on their butt anyway?"

I hope the guy was being funny but butt-writing was, at the time, a novel idea. Now of course you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a woman who has something written on the seat of their pants.

Oh the topics to cover as we wait for kick-off.

Go Falcons!

Tek, what is your problem?

Could you not think of a way to get your point across without using profanity? How about getting your point across without a slur? How about getting your point across without taking the name of the Lord in vain?

The OSU game is over. You said you would not be back after the game was over. It's time for you to take a sabbatical.

Just my future ex-wife.

Rob, I've heard you on-air when you fill in for Burbank. I could have swore you were the OSU PA guy.

I guess to shift gears.

Those of you who were at the game. Did you notice where the (American) flag pole was in Ohio Stadium?

That's about where I'd put a Doyt Perry statue off one of the end zones -- the south, I guess.

Ohio is their name?

Not really, it's Ohio STATE. I think Ohio UNIVERSITY would beg to differ. I don't care what Ohio STATE does...but I might if I was a Bobcat!

The OSU marching band flies an Ohio flag and I believe has done so since the 1940's. OSU is the state university of Ohio and members of the band have a lot of pride in being from Ohio. On a trip to Iowa, the flag was taken and proudly waved in front of the group as they walked to the stadium. Why would anyone, especially someone from Ohio be upset about this? No one is stopping BG from from flying a flag are they?

Correction: OSU is one of Ohio's state universities.

Actually, wouldn't OSU be *A* state university in Ohio? :D I can think of a few others...

But that bickering is past. I think where this thread might have gotten off line is, and check me if I'm wrong, the original poster didn't like the idea of the Ohio state flag being used as a pennant, despite it's shape. Flying it on display is one thing (that BG should probably consider doing, as pointed out elsewhere here), but waving it around brings on a different connotation. I think it's a bit of a gray area, at least for me, because while Jim Craig draped in the American flag after the Miracle on Ice is one of the "its okay for guys to cry" moments, most other Olympians that whip the American flag around look foolish and disrespectful to me.

To some people, state and national flags mean a lot more than showing pride at a sporting event, and I can totally see where they're coming from. I don't think it was intended to be a BG vs. OSU thing, just an emotional thing.

But that's just me.
