Another tailgating question

Post by 1987alum »

Last year it was easy for us to track down the AZZers - Dayon's had his "distinctive" flags flying and Grant had the tent. Since DD will be south of the Mason-Dixon and AZZ won't have a tent, will there a central meeting location?

They've moved to a secret location... if you go to campus, climb the bell tower, strip naked and yell "ca-CAW! ca-CAW!" 12 times, then stand on your head, someone might come out and take you there.

That or you can go to the far north edge of the East Lot (until the gravel stops) and look for Freak's silver Freestyle with the helmet on top and flag contraption, and hammb lighting things on fire. :-D

Karl,
I'm assuming we'll be at the "usual" location....south of the golf course....who knows, maybe Falcon Fanatic will be hauling in their HUGE RV! (Wait til you see that baby!)....looking forward to seeing the Philadelphia connection!

I plan on being there around 10:00 or 11:00 Saturday. I think Marta said that they'd have their big RV there too. The location will be the Northwest corner of the East parking lot. We try to get spots on the grassy area so there is plenty of area to toss the ball around, and kids can run/kick/play around out there too.

I have a tailgating question, since the other thread died...were people going to bring deep fryables? If so I'll bring the fryer, if not I won't. I'll be bringing my grill, and ribs, but I don't have anything to deep fry, so I won't pack it unless others are bringing some stuff. I know that Bleeding Orange had some leftover fries & tater tots from last time, will those make it back out there?

Lemme know guys.

Obviously, we won't be bringing equipment, but we usually stop at the grocery store before heading over. Is there anything in particular we can bring to help out the effort?

I'll be out at by the hill as well. I have a blue party tent, with 2 big NAPA logos on the top. That and UK peregrine should be nearby with is flag pole. We'll be the guys with a "UK" flag beneath the BG one.

I cannot think of anything in particular. As usual just bring anything you'd like to share with the group :)

I'll have my grill & I'm sure freak will as well, so anything grillable is pretty simple. If you want to get fries or tater tots or anything else that needs deep fried I can bring the fryer as well. Not sure if I have any oil at home, so I'll have to buy some, but that's no biggie.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

We should be there no later than 11. I was trying to convince Mrs. Freak last night that we should get there by 10. LOL! She may be driving over later from Huron in her Dad's Audi. We can tear up the lots with the Audi!!!

Can't wait to get there!! After this weekend, I won't be at a game until 11-4 in Akron! :( I'll have the grill so anyone that needs to use it, there ya go.

GO FALCONS!!!
