"Rob, I've heard you on-air when you fill in for Burbank. I could have swore you were the OSU PA guy.
No, I'm not a PA guy for anyone although I did just get a desperate semi-offer from a local roller derby outfit. Maybe I can parlay that into Don Pardo like stardom.

Go Falcons

WOW! Three pages to debate the merits of OSU and the band flying the Ohio Flag. I guess then if OSU has a monopoly (as some of you thing), then it is wrong of the Columbus Blue Jackets to use it on their third jersey. I think it would be great to see the Ohio flag flown in the Doyt. In fact, I think it would be great to see more flags flown in the Doyt. Wouldn't it be great to see all MAC Schools, plus other non-conferance teams flags flown in the Doyt? If there is one tradition that OSU has that is overlooked it is their flag tradition. The OSU flag and visiting team have their flags flown over their respective locker rooms. All other team flags of Big Ten and current and past non-conferance oponents are flown around the permiter of the stadium. Being from Columbus and a regular attending to OSU games, it is nice to glance up at the Bowling Green flag every couple of years. In years we don't play them, I know that I can look back on the memories of past games, or look forward to future contests.

To bad it can't be done at the Doyt. We might have a little more pride in our competition and our state.

I would like to address all of the cry babies on the board.

how old are you? this is the internet, on a site that is not run by communists last time I checked (or maybe it is) that has the luxury of free speech. if you do not like the language then dont cry about stupid issues like "OSU flies an ohio flag and their band waives it around they must think they are the only school in Ohio...."

Do you realize how stupid and cry baby that sounds?

grow up.

Moderators go ahead and ban me, i will jsut be back with more names, and even more harsh things to say

It's the Journey... wrote:Watch your language buddy! As you can see by other posts, this is being taken care of and didn't need you stiring it up again. Why can't you be like the respectful OSU fans on this board??
because you guys are disrespectful as soon as they leave.

Your right to free speach is not the issue here. You are not being censored for what you say. It is how you say it that is at issue. We actually don't have a problem with other OSU fans as posts on this board demonstrate. We do have a problem with you because you have made yourself a problem. If you want things to change solve the problem.

The Ohio State University (OSU) is a coeducational public research university in the U.S. state of Ohio. The university was founded in 1870 as a land-grant university and is currently the third largest university in the United States. Ohio State is currently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the best public university in Ohio and among the top 20 public universities in the nation. Although Ohio operates a decentralized system of higher education, Ohio State is widely considered both within Ohio and outside of its borders to be the flagship institution of the state's public system of higher education.

Yes, BGSU, KSU, and others are state funded universities but OSU is THE state university of Ohio. Thus why people refer to us as tOSU all the time.

All the MAC schools flags are flown at Perry Stadium and have been since I began attending games in 1985. One of the little things I have always enjoyed about Perry Stadium. Driving by on a Friday afternoon and seeing the rainbow of MAC flags flying on the East and West side gets me ready for the game on the following day! IT means gameday to me much like the chief wahoo flying on the terminal tower for Indians games does in Cleveland.

Not here, it isn't.

Ohio State added the "The" for the same reason Proctor and Gamble is always slapping "New and Improved" onto its products.

It's cheap spin, with a heavy dose of arrogance on top.

A little fact to you - since it seems you failed to read Grant's PM. This site is basically private property. The only free speech is the type allowed by the board owners.

You have had a great deal of freedom. You have been granted a great deal more than any other board would have tolerated. Please remember that as you conitnually disrepect not on the owner of the board but also the meaning behind this board with your thin sknnned retorts.

I have doubt that you will remember nor even care.
