Nice playcalling in the 4th quarter

Post by Jacobs4Heisman »

Very nice job by the coaches to not get too conservative and keep attacking. The playcalling throughout the rest of the game was also more varied than normal.

Briggs and Parks won that game for us. Anybody know what happened to Big Brad Williams?

Also, how is our tight end?

Strained his MCL in practice Thursday. Brandon hopes he can go Thursday at CMU. I hope so too because or d-line is getting thin. Davis out for the year and Young didn't last long out there today. Hardwick was moved inside to help stem the bleeding.

Drob hurt his ankle against OSU didn't he? On the play he came up limping he didn't even really do anything to his ankle. I think he might be less than 100% for the rest of the year.

O'drob actually first injured his ankle against Kent. I think he will be dealing with it the rest of the year.

I think he first hurt it vs. KSU, might have aggravated it vs. OSU then again today... big weapon to lose, even if he has been underutilized at times...

The D-Line turned the game around in the second half. The offense came up with a couple of big first downs when we needed them--and, of course, the big TD Drive.

I will have to say that we won the game on the 3rd and long play where AT found FB over the middle for the first down when we were down 21-17 in the 4th. Chris Bullock ran it in a few plays later to make it 24-21.

Actually I talked to him lastnight and he did something to his MCL as well.
Not sure if it was severe though.

The Barnes throw was a game saver. Nice grab by Freddie on an OK throw. We ate up enough time on that drive (and field position) to win the game. Don't forget the sweet punt.

I thought the playing call was pretty poor in the fourth with about 5 minutes left in the game we threw the ball 3 downs in a row and had to punt. I like the attack mentaility but i think they should have run screens and draws plays that could chew more clock and still move the ball. Also EMU clock management on the last drive was horrible.
