Wow, good stats! Does anybody know how much tickets are for the game?

Akron, Miami, and Toledo will be extremely tough games to win regardless of their MAC records. I don't think Thursday's game is any bigger than any of the other three. We have to win them all to even have a shot at winning the East.

The rest of this season is not so much about our opponent, but more about which BG team decides to show up. We can go 4-0 or 0-4 the rest of the season just as easily.

EMU was 0-5, and we won at home by the skin of our teeth. I'm not taking anything for granted. CMU is the best team in the MAC, Akron is the defending champ, Miami historically owns us and we haven't played well at home, and it's extremely tough for any team to win @ Toledo. I'ts going to be a crazy ride down the stretch.

Agree completely with J4H. There is no such thing as an easy win for this team, including Temple. All of the teams on our schedule can beat us. The youth and inexperience makes us more vulnerable to be inconsistent and hence losses. It also makes us more injury prone because there is a big difference physically between a 22 year and an 18 year old, and we seem to have a lot of youngsters playing. Each game is equally important and we have to take them one at a time. I remain encouraged and hope for the "4-0" scenario but would be accepting of a 3-1 or 2-2 scenario.

Didn't mean to convey that any of these games will be easy. I just wanted to show how "upside down" things are this year in the MAC. When you looked at our schdeule before the start of the season, you thought the Akron, Miami and Toledo stretch would be against title contenders. Here it is mid-October and thpse teams have yet to get a MAC win (although Miami did earlier today).

The CMU game is "huge" because it's the next game. Akron will be huge next week.

Walking out of the Doyt yesterday, I finally realized something I didn't want to admit. While we have a ton of raw talent, our youth does make us vulnerable. We simply will not have any gimme wins this season. None. We will have to work hard for each victory and I'm fine with that. If someone would have told me at the beginning of the season after 7 games, BG would be 4-3, 3-1 MAC, I'd have been happy. And I am. The Kent game still sucks because we need them to lose twice and I can't tell you how many players wish they could get that game back and play it again. That, to me, is a great sign of this team. They learned not to take anyone for granted and that you have to show up ready to play or you'll lose in this league.

I am confident this team will finish the season with a winning record. Winning the East won't be easy...especially the way Kent is playing. We need to just worry about ourselves and take care of business one week at a time.

GO FALCONS!!!! BEAT CMU!!

Here's my take on the final 5 games. Four of them are on the road, personally I would rather have Temple come to BG and have Miami as a road game. Why? Because we play a heck of a lot better for some reason when we are the visiting team. The OSU game is no exception. Not looking at records or stats, Central, Akron, Miami, and Toledo are all very tough teams regardless of what they have looked like the rest of the season. With the exception of Miami, I am extremely happy that the rest are away games. I just hope that our boys don't overlook Temple too much like they did with Kent. As said every single week, we just need to take it one game at a time, and deal with the opponents as they come without overlooking anyone. I certainly hope that Brandon does what is necessary to run the table the rest of the year.

Freak,
At first I thought your comment "while I was walking out of the Doyt..." was about to mention how bad I whupped you in post-game field goal kicking...but I guess I was wrong.

May I offer a re-match after Miami?

Thanks for being the pre-game "Firestarter" though
