A post in the "Other School" forum says it was postponed because of snow.
Yep, 2 feet on snow. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2624441

Well, its 11:45 eastern time, and still nothing posted at www.buffalobulls.com, but this article.
Weather Forces Postponement of UB Football Game Versus Miami (OH)
Decision will be made on Saturday as to when the game will be played
BUFFALO, NY – Due to the inclement weather that has hit Western New York, Saturday's football game versus Miami (OH) has been postponed. Officials from both schools and the Mid-American Conference will reevaluate the situation on Saturday and discuss when the game will be played.
A freak Autumn snowstorm rocked Western New York on Thursday night and left over 300,000 residents without power. The University at Buffalo was closed on Friday and classes were cancelled. There is currently a driving ban on all roads in Amherst, NY - the town where UB's North Campus is located.
"We are going to do everything we can to make this game happen," University at Buffalo Athletics Director Warde Manuel said. "However, we will not endanger the lives of our student athletes, fans and the people of Buffalo to play a football game. Their safety is our top concern."
The game was originally scheduled for a 1:00 pm kickoff on Saturday afternoon at UB Stadium.

UB vs. MU
Today's PD said that the Miami at Buffalo game would be played TODAY (Sunday)....I'm assuming that Miami had already "shuffled off to Buffalo" and would have additional travel costs.... Would mark 2nd Sunday game in a row for the Hawks.

What a bizzare statement this is.
I can see how traveling on snow-filled roads might "endanger the lives" of fans attempting to attend the game.
But playing the game itself (when the snow had stopped a day earlier) does not exactly "endanger the lives of student-athletes". The fact that a football game is being played doesn't exactly "endanger the lives" of regular city residents either.
Postpone the game if you must, but don't attempt to justify it like this.
I think he meant that the athletes also have to travel to the game, and might have been using "our" as an all-encompassing comment meaning Miami(OH)'s athletes, too.JoeFalcon wrote:What a bizzare statement this is.
