Too bad Ball State couldn't pull off the upset, but I wish it never would have gotten to OT. If I am coaching Testicle Tech, I go for two after the last minute TD. Your team has one win and just went right down the field against the conference leader. Why not try to win it right there instead of giving a superior opponent a chance to play you even up in OT? maybe that is why Brady Hoake will be looking for a job come December.

I agree Warthog, I was hoping Ball State would go for two.

As for playing NIU at home next year, that may not happen if we move to the East. We'll have to wait and see what all happens between now and then. The fact of the matter is, NIU has beaten BG two out of the last three years and both losses have been killers.

Oh HuskyDan, where are you? I was thinking the same thing. you should have to forfeit the division lead when you have to go to overtime to beat Ball State. I can see the Motor City Bowl commercials now..."Come see Northern Illinois play Michigan State..the Huskies w/last second wins agains Ball State and Central Florida...tickets can be bought"....you get the picture. Novak must have no control over his team because he can't get them to play against these inferior teams. A win is a win but the Cardinals are arguably one of the worst Division 1 teams in the nation.

we should forfeit our lead because we had close games with bad teams? hey, just because we manhandled you guys this year doesn't mean there should be these new rules trying to get you guys back into it. its YOUR fault you're in the position of having to watch and hope we lose. That fact is we get the W. If that affects any top 25 voting, i don't care. but our record in the MAC is still 6-0. Lets see.... whats more attractive to bowls... NIU - close games with a couple of bad teams and 92% attendance at home or BGSU - blow out bad teams with 50% (if even) attendance... Hmmmm....

Be a man and admit that you have underachieved. Ball State and Central Florida are flat out brutal. The bowl committees understand that and it will hurt you. Plus every bar in the nation yesterday saw that score and how pathetic it must make you all feel to know that you had to go to OT and give up 31 points to a team that is 102nd out of 118 division 1 teams in total offense--and that's after your game ...you spin it any way you want.

NIU controls their fate. Bowling Green does not. THAT is the bottom line. Spin it anyway you want.

I was checking the score via 800-555-TELL throughout the BG game and got the people around me going crazy when I heard the game went into overtime. I couldn't believe they weren't announcing the score at the game, but oh well. Hopefully TU can dial up the Huskies number again....they sure seem to have it on speed-dial. Three way tie and the NIU is pretty much doomed due to having played UCF.

Do you really think an announcer who can't announce our games right is going to be able to mention other scores? That would throw that guy off big time!
