Got My New Jersey Today

Post by Dayons_Den »

So I was suprised with a new Falcons orange #33 P.J. Pope jersey for my birthday today!! I was planning on getting one before the season started but my girlfriend came through big time and got it for me today!!! She also got herself a women's jersey #1 Chuck Sharon. . .

I had a long think about what jersey number to go with and settled with Pope- can't go wrong with a guy who has two years left and was already All-Mac. . .

Thoughts on the jerseys... kinda prices, but Athlete Tech does a nice job. They run a bit small (or am I getting a bit big. . .) I am 5-10, 175# and the XL fits very nicely. The brown seems to be more of a light chocolate rather than the seal brown- wonder what the authentics are like. Seems like the other replicas were a black , so maybe this a direct effort to be more brown.

I also picked up a couple of team posters for this season at SBX. Poster features Keon, Cole, Jonathan Culp and someone I can't remember right now- don't have the poster with me. BUt it is a nice design.

Sounds good DD> I bought a few jerseys for us last yr from Athlete Tech and their products are great quality. I don't mind paying a little more for something well made.

BTW, can you or someone else (FF??? :D ) pick me up one of those football posters in a bookstore? I'd greatly appreciate it cuz it doesn't look like I'll be in BG til the home opener.

GO FALCONS!!! 4 WEEKS FROM TOMORROW... :supz:

DD - does SBX sell those posters? I'd love one for my office.

They don't sell them, they were just laying in a pile by the door. Not sure if they were waiting to be picked up and took something (actually two somethings) I wasn't supposed to or what. I have a big collection of Falcon sports posters and in the past it has been a bit of a struggle to land a poster so I was quite happy with my pick up. . . .

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

My jersey arrived today!

Post by transfer2BGSU »

I got the Orange home jersey with the number 21. Looking forward to debutting it out in Norman on a nice September Saturday!

Not quite sure of the font used for the name on the back, but as long as 21 makes those nice catches - who cares?

I've had pretty good luck ordering from Athlete-Tech. Over on mht.com, some of the users had some trouble ordering last December when Jim "Darth" Vader was overwhelmed with orders...but things seem to have settled over there.

Just a tip....and if you've already discussed this, sorry........but a couple of guys order Miami jerseys blank and then just took the jersey to a local outfit and had whatever name put on. I was able to get a #7 Roethlisberger jersey because he had declared for the draft, but hadn't been drafted yet (back in February). Apparently, once they're drafted, the "name" becomes rights of the pro team.

Anyways, for authentic type jerseys......these are okay. Basically, you get what you pay for. For around $50, it's pretty good. True "authentic" jerseys are probably well over $100......so the Athlete-Tech ones are pretty good.

I was going to get one today too. I'm built about the same as you, so would you say that the jersey fits "nicely" and can accomodate some layering underneath for colder months? There's really only about one game that I'm expecting to not have anything on under it.

Oh yeah.....I'm 5'10", 225 lbs, and the XL fits fine. Couldn't wear anything too heavy underneath it, but I have worn long-sleeve T underneath it.

Actually, here's a link to it.....

That's me in the red #7 jersey.....XL, with a long-sleeve T udnerneath.

I'm about 40-45 lighter than you, so I'm guessing a sweatshirt and some other thin layers underneath will fit just fine during colder games. Thanks.

Former-
I would say go with the XL and the under garments will fit nicely for those brisk fall days at Perry Stadium.

Hey everyone, gotta a quick question. How long will it take for them to ship the jersey to me. If i order it today, or in the next few days, do you think I could get it in time to wear to the Oklahoma game?

Struggling between buying a L or XL. My dimensions are 5'6", 180. I have that whole husky thing going for me. I don't want to be wearing a dress if i get the XL, but I don't want to freeze if I get the L and can't wear anything underneath.

Also, it says on athlete-tech that they cannot reproduce current player's names. What is the deal with that?

Anyway, Go Falcons.
