Not a bad move. Nedney is no youngin. Could give some opportunity, perhaps in the kickoff realm later on.

This is a good move on Shaun's part. He gets away from Vanderjagt, which is a good enough move in and of itself. In addition, he will likely get the chance to compete for a starting job with the 49ers. I was looking at Nedney's numbers and he has made only eight out of 12 field goal attempts and only 5-of-9 on attempts longer than 30 yards. Not good for an NFL kicker. So perhaps we will see Suisham in a 49ers uniform on Sunday's before long.
