Weekend Volleyball Promotions - Orange Out & Jam the Gym

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

Fresh off a perfect two-week road trip (5-0) that saw the Falcons extend their school record winning streak to 17 matches and their overall record to 21-2, the BGSU Volleyball buzz saw returns home to the familiar confines of Anderson Arena for a pair of home matches this weekend.

The Falcons will face the #22 Ohio Bobcats on Friday, October 27th at 7pm. BGSU and Ohio have been locked in a tie atop the MAC standings all season long, with both sitting at a perfect 10-0 in conference play. It's Orange Out and "Jam the Gym” night, so don your Falcon orange and don't miss this clash of juggernauts! All adults wearing orange will get in for ONLY $3 at the gate, and it's also Take a Kid to the Game Night with all kids 12 and under getting in FREE when accompanied by a paid adult. Come out and “Jam the Gym.”

The Falcons host Kent State on Saturday, October 28th at 3pm. It's Halloween Costume Day, with all fans wearing costumes getting in for ONLY $1 at the gate. There will also be a post-match autograph session.

And remember, YOU could go home with FREE Chips & Queso, courtesy of Qdoba Mexican Grill and "Kills for Qdoba". For the remainder of the regular season, if the Falcons reach a team total of 55 kills en route to a victory, all fans in attendance will go home with FREE Chips & Queso, courtesy of Qdoba.

Catch all the action LIVE all weekend long at Anderson Arena, the House that Roars. For tickets, call 877-BGSU TICKET.

And if they don't get 55 kills, Stephanie will take everyone to Qdoba?

Sweet. I'm so there.

I love that they're doing promotions, but there's nothing really there to increase student attendance.

Why not have orange towels or something else that's cheap to increase the student attendance?

Hey everyone

Post by Swaggy »

haha i wish I could afford to take everyone to Quodoba...there isn't funding to get towels and stuff for students thats why people need to donate straight to the smaller programs like volleyball and until we get more students at our games or people in general than the university won't give us that stuff to pass out...bummer huh but we'll work on those 55 kills to get something...COME TO THE MATCH!!! and yes there will be tailgating from 4:30-6:30 in a tent outside Anderson with free chili for all and some food from our parents...please come out and socialize!!!

The post above is the reason why I believe BGSU has the best darn athletics program in the country. I will not be able to be there since I am living in Valparaiso, Indiana but I will be follwing it on gametracker. GO BG!!!!!

As I understand it now, there's some question regarding the ability to tailgate pre-game.... So, don't plan on it yet... but DO plan on the game no matter what!

I just talked to one of the originators of the chilli cookout Thursday morning, and it is a go!!!!!
If the athletic department doesn't want to promote it, that is fine, it will just be a "private" tailgate party that is OPEN to everyone, just like most of our football tailgates!

Just found out that my class has been cancelled this weekend as the instructor is sick and can't make it in from Oklahoma. Looks like volleyball on Friday night!
