We WILL have a couple more losses, of that I am quite sure, but I also know it won't change how I feel about Falcon Hockey. By being a die-hard fan/supporter, it means I support the players, the current coaching staff (ALL three of them), and everyone else associated with the team, no matter what.
GO FALCONS!!
SWEEP THE REDHAWKSKINS!!!

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. What I saw Sat nite was a BC team that came out showing that they were not going to be denied. They were finishing checks the way teams do in post-season play. There are some big boys on that team, especially Boyle.
BG has players with good individual skills, but only a couple of them are playing together. Power play needs lots of work.
Some of the freshmen ran out of gas midway through the 3rd.
I would have played Bronson on Saturday (actually, I would have played him both nights, but I can understand seeing new guys on the road before CCHA begins for BG).
If nothing else, the Falcons now know how a top team performs. Hope they're watching the video over and over.
Bill--
Just out of curiosity, did BC shoot a lot from the perimeter and hope to convert on rebounds?
They did this alot in the six games UML played them when I worked there, so the shots were always like 40-23 or 39-19 in favor of BC, but we often won like 3-1 or 4-1 because our shots were better quality.
Although we did give up about a billion hat tricks (ok, two) to Brian Boyle.

Great game analysis!! I fully expected Jerry York's team to respond from their Friday night beat down in this way. I knew BC would be back on their game, which it sounds like they were.
I expect full reports from BOTH games at Miami!!! Can't make it down there this weekend, so give us the full scoop on their new arena and how the guys do in both games!!!!!

McC: you hit it - they did that perimeter shooting, and Spratt obliged with lots of rebounds, kind of like Siggy's freshman year.
FF - we're looking forward to visiting the new Goggin.
I'm jealous of those that get to see the new barn in Oxford and see us sweep the SkinHawks.
If nothing else, I'll be there in radio spirit Saturday producing the game.
Oh, and just a reminder that you can listen to every BG Hockey game on the Flagship Home for Falcon Hockey, 88.1 WBGU. You can also stream at BGRSO.org.

For the love of goombas! First we're all over Gregg Brandon on the football board, now Scott Paluch is taking the heat here and we're only 4 games into the season?! Lay off man. If we were 0-4 then maybe you'd have a case but come on, the season's hardly gotten started and you're already forseeing us dropping off the face of the earth. Get some damn optimism.

Former player with an axe to grind. He's trying to convince everyone that Paluch is the problem with the program. Your post, while most here agree with it, will fall on blind eyes as far as this guy's concerned.
BigDog - it's interesting...you're contributing more to this board THAN YOU EVER DID ON THE ICE!!!!!

Providence is a good team and a good win for the Falcons. Putting them in the same class as UConn is hardly fair to the Friars.
And Alabama-Huntsville is a decent team if you're going to talk about AH/CHA. Night in and night out they probably wouldn't beat teams out of the big four leagues, but they certainly can hold their own and shouldn't be overlooked. Between AH and the CHA, I'd say UAH is one of the three top teams (Bemidji being #1 out of those leagues).
That's pretty weak BigDog...I never mentioned that I played hockey...
Then again...some would say you never really played either!

IMO, this personal stuff has to stop. If "bigdog" played at BG, he's got a right to his opinion. I could care less which Senior from last yer he is - that is irrelevent. Bottom line, the record under Scott is not good. Don't get me wrong - I hope Bigdog is wrong because I want Scott and the program to succed. But - looking at the facts, like it or not - the program is in the toilet there is no doubt about it. There was a post recentl;y that BGSU and LSSU are at a "turning point." I disagree - the turning point was in 1995 - check the records and see.
