GB blames youth and not mentally tough enough to win games. Besides Temple was going to win sooner or later. Too many freshman.

Says Freddie is injured and that's why we didn't see much of him.

"We've played 9 weeks without a bye. Our guys are tired"

Certainly seemed like we took the last 9 days off since Central. We should be recharged by next weekend.

Congrats to Gregg Brandon. I thought I had heard all of his excuses, and then voila, he pulls out a new one! We play too many games! How can we be expected to play every week, like every other freaking team in the country?

Wow...he continues to impress...

If I read the Media Notes correctly, Temple is one of the few teams that has played more Freshmen this year than us. And they hadn't won any games, so they certainly don't know how to win. Bang. I just shot down both those excuses coach. Care to try again?

What should he say? "we suck...I suck"? That would be a productive thing to do with three games left in the season.

It's pretty obvious that this team isn't mentally tough enough to win the games it should (and there is NO way we should have lost today given the way our offense chewed clock and yardage between the 20's). GB touched on that. I imagine there'll be alot of in depth discussion amongst the coaches, the AD and the players in the offseason. I don't think Brandon's going anywhere, but I wouldn't place any bets on the futures of the rest of the staff.

I don't really buy this "not mentally tough" stuff. We won a game against Buffalo that we had no business winning. We won a game at FIU with adversity. We beat OU (apparently the best team in the MAC) after losing to Kent the week before by 5 TD's. We also beat EMU after being down starting the 4th quarter.

We very easily could have lost those 4 games, but our guys were tough enough to pull them out.

Are probably the biggest hurt to us all year besides the poor qb play and ST's. Davis done for year & Williams out for several weeks now and Young dinged as well. That has got to be hurting us for sure. You can only play DE's at NG/DT for so long before it bites hard in the rear. The big plays keep hurting us. The D plays maybe 2 downs of decent defense only to give up the 30, 40 or 50 yd play on the 3rd down. That kind defensive inconsistency is what killing us also.

That's a decent point...it's probably more fair to say we aren't mature enough or mentally tough enough to win consistently.

You know the best part of that excuse? He can keep using it. We're not getting a bye week anytime soon, so he's basically gotten himself the rest of the season covered. It's not his fault we lose, it's because our kids cannot play this many games in a row!

Purdue plays 13 games in a row this year without a bye week or even a long week! At least BG got 9 days off, and isn't playing 13 games, and isn't in the Big 10!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Not true. We play at Akron on 11/4, then we don't play again until Miami on 11/15. That counts as a bye week in my book. He will have to come up with something new in the next couple weeks.

He'll go back to the 'we're playing a lot of young kids who still don't know what their doing after practicing for three months' excuse.

DOOOMMMMMM
GLOOOOMMMMM

Next year will be a different, a program like BG's can not expect to on top every ¥ear. Its just not logical. But to stick with the given up 7+pts pluss a game puntformation sure ant helping.
Did we hire these kids at Lot industries, did we get our special teams coach on loan from Woodlane?

I am however still confident in GB, I think he made some big recruiting mistakes, and he pan out to be a great coach, but just god awfull recruiter, and return to another D1 school as the O cordinator. But I still feel next year will be fine, I still wish that we started G. at QB this year and just frinking spent the bad year developing like we should have inthe first place. I still wish we gotten rid of the gay punt formation.
If I see any of the coaches at the grocery store or thier wives I will kindly place a box tampx in their cart to stop the hemoraging.
