Not that I didn't expect anger, but ...

I believe the caveat was 6-6 and marked improvement. I doubt you would find anyone who would say this team has improved over the season. The defense was looking very good the past couple of weeks. Saturday, not improved.

damm qualifiers. STs makes DJ Durkin look like he needs to be DJ Lurkin around a McDonalds as night Manager. offense makes stud look like he would have dine us a fvor by picking kansas state. Defense ws worth a little.Rightupinthere wrote:I believe the caveat was 6-6 and marked improvement. I doubt you would find anyone who would say this team has improved over the season. I say next years squad should be...
HC Mark Duffner
OC Billy gonzales
DC Lovett
A loss, huh? Well, I'll take a Daoist line on this one, though I am glad I had a Halloween party to distract me last night , and very distracting it was - the theme was vicars & tarts!!Kaleena08 wrote:But we may win our next few games. Well, Kent State got topped, Miami was had, and Toledo's sexual frustration with winning scores was sorted out last night. As far as I'm concerned, OOC doesn't matter this weekend, so I'm with Kaleena08. I got a cracking deal on a North Face jacket a couple of days ago, I think I'll go do Snowdon today and try it out. Should be able to see the Irish coast from the summit today!
Before I sign off, are you still there, Falconboy? Don't go off and do anything silly now, will you!!

Kaleena, I'm still holding out hope that this season could end well. We just have to get pissed off and come out and play hard at the Rubber Bowl next week and never look back. Who knows, all we need is Kent and Ohio to drop another game or two and we could have a shot at the MACC. This season is not over. The players and coaches need to realize this, get pissed off about the last game, get some supreme Falcon pride, and come ready to play.Kaleena08 wrote:But we may win our next few games. The fact of the matter is (certainly not my opinion) is this. If Gregg Brandon wants to keep his job past this season, he better damn well get these guys ready to play this week, and every week the rest of the year!! And he better win those last three games against Akron, Miami, and Toledo, and get into the MACC. Anything less than that, and he's gone, kaput, out of here! He probably knows this as much as anybody, failure is not an option, not after a loss like we had on Saturday.

My opinion is that this is your opinion, not a fact. Gregg Brandon will have his job next season, even if the team loses out.bgsufalcon24 wrote:The fact of the matter is (certainly not my opinion) is this. Behold, we are reduced to cheering ourselves by saying we could be AS BAD as other teams. Yippee.cbjhack wrote:On the bright side we could be Miami or Toledo. Both are perenial rivals of ours and both have a worse record that BG.

Honestly, I'm not in favor of a coaching change during a phase where more than half of our team is made up of freshmen and sophomores. I think a coaching change would only inhibit us for the remainder of my time here at BGSU, possibly past that somewhat. So to be honest, I don't want Brandon fired, especially if we finish well here.orangeandbrown wrote:My opinion is that this is your opinion, not a fact. But let's face it, if we lose out and go 4-8, does Greg Christopher even have a choice? The fans, the alumni, the boosters, will all be calling for GB's head. It'd be a PR disaster to bring him back. A buyout would only be $300,000, less than half of what we made off of the OSU matchup this season. I know at BGSU we don't spend our money on stupid stuff, and that we usually don't let coaches go early, but this seems to be a case where public opinion would be so great that Christopher would be risking our attendance for the next few years by letting Brandon stay.
That said, I hope GB stays the coach.

If he lets the coach go for professional reasons, then I have no problem with his decision as he is the AD. If he lets the coach go due to public opinion, then I stop contributing to the Falcon Club. I think that November is the wrong time of year to be talking about a coup detat against the coaching staff. I think it would be betterto leave he torches and pitchforks in the closet until at least December.
Let's align our chakras and devote our spiritual energy towards running the table and drawing 25,000 for Miami. That would be far more karmically healthy
