How many tackles did Omar make on defense? Zero. He was one player. His injury had no effect on the incompentcy of last years defense. I don't think it is fair to argue that losing one player to injury (for basically three games that we went 1-2) is the reason we went 6-5. Western beat us 45-14. Are you saying that Omar would have thrown five more TDs passes that game and we would have won? Or that the defense wouldn't have given up 45 points if Omar wouldn't have gotten hurt? We lost to Toledo at home when Omar played. He threw for 315 yards, three TDs, no INTs and also ran for the TD. Doesn't seem like his injury affected him in that game, yet we lost. That leaves you with Akron as the only game that can logically be argued that we lost because of Omar's injury. Please correct my logic if I missed something.

Went into work today and all I heard was how far Bowling Green has fallen from where it used to be. No one could believe that we actually lost to Temple. The average fan can see the team is heading in the wrong direction. Something needs changed.

Just like you can't tell me we wouldn't have. Last year's team, chock full of talent and experience, gave up last year when the going got tough. They didn't overcome, battle adversity, or rise above unfortunate circumstances. They packed it in. There was no leadership coming down the pike, and there still isn't. It started against Wisconsin last year. Everything was going great, and then they ran that kick back. The team just quit right there. A play like that has killed us in every single game we've lost, because we've been incapable of coming back from adversity.

Men don't just become leaders. They are born that way. Leaders don't make excuses, or point fingers, or whine about circumstances. They suck it up, and find a way to get it done. They rally their troops in the direst of times. Every good football coach is a good leader. Does anybody honestly think Brandon is a good leader based on what we've seen and heard from him and his teams? If he isn't a good leader, how can he be, or ever become a good head football coach?

Ok, this is now the third time you have alluded to Omar going down being the reason we had a poor season last year. I don't want to get in to a pissing match, and I am not one to say that they should fire anyone or discontinue the football program. But last season we were a struggling football team BEFORE Omar went down. That fact is pretty well documented on here. I attended every game last season save @Boise, @Buff, and @Miami, yet I watched every single game except @Buff. The team had an excellent first half at Wisconsin and we competed in the other games but we could have and maybe should have lost at Ball State and at Kent.
