I was at the Blue Jackets game tonight other than them looking horrible it was actually pretty nice to see a few Bowling Green jersey's, hats and jackets in the crowd.

I'm going on Friday. Don't know if I'm down for dropping the cash to see them play the way they've been, but it'll be good to get back to some friends in Columbus.

(Not sure if I'll be squeezing any BG gear in, though...)

Even if the on-ice product sucks, the atmosphere in Nationwide is pretty good for your money. It's really directed to those who only come to one game every now and then so for the most part, they go all out.

On, and the Ice Girls and Pepsi Pack are a nice addition....

What? What was that you said? Freak, did you hear something? :smt108

Only because I'm going out before and after, and am not sure if we'll end up somewhere that's not "sweatshirt acceptable". Then again, if we follow our usual Columbus routine, we'll be in and out of holes in the wall like no tomorrow...

And Drew... I love the atmosphere in Nationwide, but I can usually get that by dropping $20 (or at least a few years ago) and sitting in the corner of the upper bowl... but what the hell.. for one trip back, why not have some fun?

Oh, I'd also recommend the R Bar. Which is located just on the outskirts of the Arena District. $1.50 domestric drafts until the first Intermission which is a friggin steal in that area. Go to www.rbararena.com for more info.

And yes, just once I'd like to have "good" seats just to say I've sat there...One day....maybe.

My night is already planned by those who will by driving me around town. I've been to the R Bar near Clintonville a few times, never knew they opened one downtown.

If you want a great pre-game... go to the R-Bar... Across the street from Frog Bear Wild Boar... $1.50 domestics, $2.50 imports on GAMEDAYS... best deal in the CITY!

You neglected to mention why some of the people were present. And it didn't have anything to do with the Pepsi Power Sluts and the Mt. Dew Ice Ho's.

Can you say Ken Klee, #2 for Colorado. A BG Falcon. Last played for BG in 1990.

It is always nice to see a Falcon from my generation skating around. I think other than Klee and Blake, there aren't too many still on the ice from the late 80's/early 90's. The last of York's great teams.

What a ridiculous finish! An 11-round shootout!

We ended up at the R Bar *after* the game... not a bad hole in the wall place... I think I might have had a beer or two at a few other bars, too. That was a LONG drive back to Indy this morning...

i get season tix to the bluejackets every year so for the fans complaining about pooch you have no idea when it comes to gerard gallant..... but i would recommend non-season ticket holders to get the $10 huntington green seats probaly have to get in line around 4:00 and they sell at 5:30. just move down to the lower bowl too haha. if your willing to wait for a few extra hours.

I look at that team's roster and I can't understand how terrible they are. Granted, the stars they have are getting on in years, but you'd think a team with Fedorov, Anson Carter, Adam Foote, and a couple others to go with Nash and Zherdev (sp?) would at least be competitive. Add in that some of the "average" players have been there for 3-5 years, how that team only has nine points after a month of hockey is beyond me.
