There is a poll on that link that asks whether Leftwich isn't healthy yet, or if Del Rio prefers Garrard. 71.9% currently believe the latter.
Personally, I think it is time for Jacksonville to let go of Quinn Gray and start brooming their next QB.....Omar Jacobs.
I'm biased as all get-out, but I really think it would be a smart move for them. Omar has the arm strength, and it isn't like they would be opposed to his throwing mechanics since they are used to Leftwich. Furthermore, I think their offensive sceme would lend itself well toward Omar fitting in. They definitely have a strong running game, they just need somebody who can deliver the ball to their platoon of 6'4"+ recievers. If they had that, their offense would be rediculous. Obviously Garrard can't do it, and if Leftwich can't get it done it is time for them to go in a new direction.
Call me crazy, but I've been thinking this for a while now.
Go Falcons!

Did Del Rio once have a stump and an axe in the locker room with the motto, "keep chopping?" Then one of his players swung the axe, hit the stump, then the axe bounced off the stump and into the dude's knee.
I heard this story and I don't know if it's urban legen or true. I think it's true, but there was also woman once, who had a zit and it got real big and even bigger and then it bust and all these baby spiders came out. That happened to a friend's cousin.

The JAX "keep chopping wood" story is true. But it was the punter who was the player who got hurt. I think he actually sliced his ankle open. Punters. like Flipper, should not handle sharp instruments.

I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
Jack Del Rio has been quoted as saying that Leftwich's ankle will not improve beyond 85-90% for the rest of the season. More or less, he has said that Garrard will be the Jax QB until he starts to stink. Personally, I hope that doesn't happen.
But, I definitely think it is time for Jacksonville to be looking into a new project QB.....
Go Omar!!

close, it wasn't any player that got hurt though, just the punter.RobbyFalcon wrote:Did Del Rio once have a stump and an axe in the locker room with the motto, "keep chopping?" Then one of his players swung the axe, hit the stump, then the axe bounced off the stump and into the dude's knee.
