hey glass jaw, the more you cry the more show us why you helped to sabotage this team last year, with your other nefarious weak sticks. You have NO HEART, NO SOUL and NO LOVE for this team, its traditions or for its future. You are most likely the bigest blow hard I have seen. You had a chance to put up or shut up, and you choose to pull your tail between your legs, you call yourself BIG dog, well the toy poodel just wiped the floor with you. Why? your all bark.

Pooch is the best thing for this team right now, and as the season progresses more of the nay sayers will be seeing the truth, and the following year some will be believers.

Dont listen to the Benidct Arnol coward dog. he did not make a stand as player, he does not care now, and his only motivation to further destroy this program!

difference of opion on a BB is a way of. So is truth. This is a FAN SITE FOR BGSU sports and not a forum for whine ass cowards who hide behind monitors, the fool should be baned for being disruptive, negtive and if he played for BGSU for degrading BGSU Hockey.

Who are you addressing with this post, because if it is me, I am in no way associated with bigdog! Hmm, I believe this is what I was pointing out about the language going both ways! Give specific expamples of how any of the senior players from last season did not make a stand as players? Right now you are the only one being disruptive. I was merely stating an opinion.

Apparently it does, that is why some people are upset by an opinion differing from their own.

I lost count. Is this circle jerk 234 or 235?

They all blend together anymore.

Such and itelligent respose...You really should practice what you preach!
Just goes to show, NOBODY can have an opinion other than yours!

I don't believe any thing I stated was derogatory toward coaches or anything else related to the program. I didn't even say I agreed with the "former players", I just defended them in their point of view and right to state it on an OPEN forum.

Since the "former players" have posted I have really taken a look and the style of coaching and things going on down on the bench.

If you want a specific example I will give one:

Miami series: During the numerous all TV time outs, good time for some coaching to go on down on the bench correct?? I watched during the time outs, Pooch bearly said two words to any of those players on the ice or on the bench, he stood there looking at the ground or paced back and forth.
I thought maybe as a coach you might want to discuss some plays????

Statistics: Powerplay this season alone we have had 45 and how many actual powerplay goals....4!!!! Could it be that most generally it is the same play on every attempt???? Even when I listened to games on the radio, I knew exactly where the pass was going, before it was even annouced, how hard is that for the other teams to pick up on.

I believe this was stated by one of the "former players" that coach didn't have the imagination to come up with original plays. So, after that I start to really take notice. At this point for me it seems to be true...

You wanted specifics, I can't give specifics about the locker room situation, the "players" will have to do that. These are just a couple of the things I have notice just this year.

I don't think he meant anything other than "My God, not another one of those damn threads that goes on and on and on about why we should fire Paluch because I did not like playing for him....

I don't think he ever said no one could not have an opinion that does not agree with his.

And I will defend their right to say it in a public forum (as will RUIT and the other moderators), but what I won't defend is the language that some of the posters were using when they initially posted their comments. Calling someone a "moron", "retard" or the vulgar names they were using in many of their posts is not needed on this board. The personal attacks were uncalled for. Let them go to a CCHA board if they want to be arrogant jerks.

Good job. You have provided more examples than any of the "former players". I will say that I have watched Dean Smith and Mike Kryzewski use the silence routine and it worked. Anson Dorrance told a story about how he said absolutely nothing at halftime of a men's soccer match (prior to coaching the Carolina women) at UNC when they were down 1-0. After kicking a bucket through the window and storming from the locker room, his team went out and scored three unanswered goals in the second half.

Sometimes silence says a lot.

Bingo. Feel free to disagree with me since I'm rarely correct.

And welcome to the board.

I will agree silence says alot, but at the right time! I have seen that situation happen on more than a few occasions, and throughout the entire games! At some point as a coach you have to give direction to your players, otherwise what is the point in having a coach?

OK, lets hold on a minute here. Why am I being attacked for the post that I made? I did not insult anyone, I only asked for specifics. That is all. All I said was that if no one can provide specifics, then the energy is wasted on the part of the accusers and all this is doing is ruining what has for a LONG TIME been a very, very good fanboard, and a place where the PROGRAM'S BOOSTERS can come together. You insult us, you insult the people who supported you and, in many cases, directly funded the scholarships that you (allegedly former players) claim to have taken advantage of. So, explain to me again how I was shouting anyone down or negating anyone's opinions?

If this crap continues, then I suggest that the moderators get together and seriously begin suspending IP addresses. The experiment with these people, as far as I am concerned is OVER. No matter how we try to approach them, they come back with the same garbage, no substantive points, and they proceed to ruin every thread that is begun in the hockey forum. This has gone far, far beyone "Tekekini annoying," and it is damned near bordering on sabotage. Does anyone remember the days when this was the only forum in which this didn't happen? When did it start happening? I rest my case.

To you former players and non-players alike that keep perpetrating this senseless noise, please, please, please give us something tangible, or leave us alone. We are only here because we love Bowling Green Falcon Hockey and, consequently, the players themselves. If what you say is true, then fine. Things will happen as they need to. But please, please don't ruin this place where we, some of the biggest supporters of Falcon Hockey, come together to discuss the season, the players, the coaches - everything! If you care about Falcon Hockey, you will not ruin this place, and that is a challenge I issue to everyone on this board - no matter who it is.

yikes, you don't post on the website a couple hours and all of a sudden macman is talking about running away with my tail between my legs. Sorry about the lack of posting.
You know I don't care if people believe me, all I wanted to get out of posting here is people to second guess what is going on with the BG hockey team. Thank God, someone didn't just write back in anger but rather just analyzed Pooch a little closer. What bgblueliner (I think that your name) did was great, its amazing what you see when you look just a little closer.
Its funny bgblueliner, someone who I have no relation to picked up on the fact of why it is so hard to talk reasonably on this board. IF YOU DON'T SHARE THE MAJORITY'S VIEW THEN YOUR POINTS ARE INVALID.
Just so everyone can stop writing put up or shut up (gets old) I have given examples in two or three long posts in the past and recieved nothing but chirps for it.
I'm actually am glad (sorry for the name) that someone went out and found stats to back up their point. This is a first. Thankyou. All I have to say to the record stats is that the only reason the team was good those years is because we had one of the top goalies on our team. Hence the reason why the team suffered more losses the next year. When you lose a hoby baker candidate especially a goalie who plays 98% of the games. The team is going to miss that person. If you look at the years and then look at how siggy played that year you will see some correlation.

bigdog, I read all of your posts and the PP example was the only one that really stuck out to me. I agree, our PP has been lacking and nobody could say otherwise. But the thing that concerns me the most are your accusations of mistreatment.

As far as facts and stats are concerned...I'll look them up every time, right, wrong or otherwise.

First off who are you being attacked by? I just made an observation of how posters are treated if they bring a different view. Nobody attacked you. You were the poster with the derogatory and negative comments claiming people with opinions other than your own are just posting incessant drivel? This is insulting! Whether you believe so or not.

Now because someone has challenged your view of the situation, without cursing and name calling, it is still senseless noise? You asked for specifics, I gave some of the specifics I observed since bigdog posted, and still it's not "tangible" and you call on moderators to suspend IP Addresses?

You don't want specifics, you would just like everyone to have the same view of the situation as you do. Maybe you are just afraid of the truth, I don't know and I truly don't know what the situation was or is in the locker room, but I am open to listening without judgement.

The "players" started out on the wrong foot on this board, but I think it was more due to frustration than any thing, look past the cursing and the name calling that everyone including yourself has done and take a second look with an open mind, maybe you will see something you didn't see before.

Bleeding Orange you stated this is a forum for dicusssing the season, the coaches and the players, that is what is happening. Discussing the things that are wrong doesn't make any poster here less of a fan, it might make them more of one because by discussing what is wrong can only lead to making situations better. Perhaps, had the "players" not been so poorly recieved even when they did start out on a bad note that you and many other posters would have gotten more specific answers. As it is right now you feel threatened and they feel threaten, but we all care about the TEAM and that is what is most important!

To BigDog, try to give them some specifics, no names or name calling just the situations. I know you have already, it's what got me looking, maybe now that you are little more calm it will go over better? They still may not believe you but it might just get them to take another look.

I know everyone is sick about the back and forth on this issue. However, there is one thing I completely disagree with. Just because people have been posting on AZZ for awhile doesn't mean that it is YOUR board. Grant created these for EVERYONE. I have never understood why people try to bully new posters into claiming this is OUR place, and if you don't like it go away. That is not the way it should be. The reason this place gets better all the time is that more people find it and discover a place to discuss the issues and give their opinions, good and bad. Personally, I get sick of reading 87 posts from the same people (including myself).

So frankly, if you don't like what you are reading, just use your internal IGNORE button. But don't chide people about coming on here and tell them they are "ruining" your fun. It goes both ways.
