As for the controversy, it will likely show up in the offseason. But for now, Turner has solidified his starting job.
“The plan was to [also] play Tyler Sheehan,” Brandon said. “I told Tyler, I said, ‘Hey, Anthony was playing, we couldn’t take him out.’ The kid was great. He said, ‘I know, coach, I know.’ His time will come too.”

Between Turner, Sheehan, and Glaud, we have to have somebody that can lead this team.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Great decision. 2 QB systems are for pansies
Ideally, Turner will prove it was the injury which slowed him down, and take a huge step and emphatically seize the job in camp next year. If he can't we'll start over with somebody else.
Agreed. All 3 of those guys had impressive HS resumés. Recruits fail to live up to the hype all the time, but you have to believe at least one of those 3 will live up to their potential and prove to be the guy to lead this team where we want it to go.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Between Turner, Sheehan, and Glaud, we have to have somebody that can lead this team.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Great decision. 2 QB systems are for pansies

Duh, have you all missed something? Why are we so up in the air and concerned about the QB situation when our ST's and defense have given up big play after big play all season long with no apparent solutions, adjustments or personnel corrections in sight?? Are we just plain not seeing that or what!!! Did you all not notice how easily Akron ran all over us? I believe they set a new record or an all-time season high for the most yards gained. The players we play cannot make plays, but our coach can sure make excuses.
Get real guys, even if we had Tom Brady of the NE Patriots at QB, if we can't stop our opponent then it's all for nothing. Anyone knows that 28 Point's is enough to win any football game at any level, if you can play DEFENSE!!
ST’s has been so bad, that it's really hilarious or an adventure everytime the ball is kicked or received.

Akron was the first loss that I would chalk up to the defense itself. I think they have showed marked improvement. Yes, they have given up some big plays, but that is probably related to the fact that six of our top eight DBs are true freshman, and the other two are true soph. The dreaded injury bug has devasted the middle of the defense. Davis out for the year, Williams missed about a month, Young hasn't been playing, Hardwick was forced to move inside. White, who I would say is the leader of the defense, missed the Akron game and it was a big hole in the middle.
Point is, the defense hasn't exactly cost us a game, before Akron. Whereas ST ineptitude allowed Buffalo and FIU to keep the games close and probably costs us the Temple loss. And while the offensive statistics look pretty good, it is entirley due to the rushing game. Our passing attack is non-existent. Better QB play gives everyone more confidence. QB is the most important position because he touches the ball on every offensive snap. Mediocre QB play is hard to overcome.

I agree with Warthog...the defense put us in a hole against Kent and CMU, but we might have won the CMU game with better QB play in the second half. This past week's game was the first I would say we lost because our defense played poorly all day.
I think the defense has improvec over last year's...our secondary has a chance to be scary good in a year. The Dline will need to replace Williams and Parks next year, but the guys behind them look like they'll be solid.
I hope we keep Mack at DT. Having Mack, Minturn and Young rotating at DT gives us three guys who, though a tad tall for DT at 6'-5", have the size and quicks to be very disruptive

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
