Why so negative?

Post by FalconFeathers »

I have been reading this forum for months now, I am always hopeful to read about someones thoughts on the game...or analysis of the players, who looks promising, etc etc etc. The time between my visits here are growing longer because the same things are always addressed here and they are always negative and depressing and just not very pleasant reading.( in my opinion ) I joined this forum just to express this observation. When I first found this forum I was happy to be able to read everyones comments on Falcon Hockey, but now I don't think this is the place to find that. I happen to believe that every season there is hope, it doesn't matter what the rink is like, it matters that the team gels together, that they believe in each other and that they can count on each other in every game. I matters that they have "heart" and that they finish each game with the same intensity as when they started, believing for the "win" to the very end. Thats one of the things needed to be a winning team. I want to read about the "boys" about their effort and about their skills. I want to read about someones thoughts of the opponents and why we win and why we lose a game. Thanks for allowing me to say my piece.

That is what the forum is, to analyze BG hockey. On the other hand when the team has been stuck in the basement that is what we are talking about(How to get out of it). Im sure if you went on a Steelers forum right now they wouldnt be talking about Super Bowls past, they would be addressing the current play of the team.

When we go on a 5 game winning streak, then thats what we will be talking about.

I understand you want things to be positive but the first problem is identify the problem. That is what we are debating, some think its the coach, rink, players attitudes, etc.

If you dont think a decade of under .500 play is a problem, nobody is going to disagree with you.

Good post and welcome to the board.

We've had some former players join the board, so what you've been reading are their feelings concerning the program, the coach, etc. Unfortunately this has caused a lot of backlash from many of the fans here, myself included.

Over the last couple of days, however, things have calmed down a bit and the atmosphere has been, IMO, much better. You may want to look at their posts, because you'll get some "interesting" insights into the program, not to mention the games after they're played.

bigdog has been the most open amongst the former players and it shouldn't be too difficult for you to figure out who the rest are.
