hey to al my fans
Hello forum dorks,
This is Pete Stella writing you from Florida, how is the weather in Ohio? I got a call from one of my roommates yesterday who said people with no lives were trashing a column I wrote for my newspaper. So I had to check it out for myself. I guess I really pissed some of you off. That was not my intention but I stand by what I wrote. I loved my experiences at Bowling Green and wouldn't trade them for anything. But come on, that loss was horrible, embarassing, terrible. I had every right in the world to write what I did. Some of you took shots at me, fine, that's a sign that you have nothing better to do with your lives then talk on a forum about BGSU football. Thanks to my former roommate Kevin who defended me. I was at the BGSU-Toledo game last year and heard so many people booing and swearing at the team, that was embarassing. So get off my back and realize that when you work at a newspaper, you are allowed to express your thoughts in a column, and that is why it is a column. And to the guy that used to work at The BG News, thanks for standing by me. what the hell have you done with your life?

and if you want my e-mail adress, it's [email protected]. if any of you have the balls to e-mail me that is. IF you also want my phone number, I would gladly give it to you. Enjoy the cold, I'm off to the beach.

He was indeed. He was on this board as well. Pete is a good guy, but seemed to be quite the "major" sport fan and only when they were good. Personally, I think he has had a bit too much sun down there in Florida. Oh well, maybe he just needs to detatch himself from Urban.jacojdm wrote:Wasn't Pete Stella the BG News sports editor?

I was wondering where that damn button went as I read some of those hockey threads.Rightupinthere wrote:

Exactly. The only thing readers probably got out of it was Urban Meyer and wonders of how close to Lexington BG is.JoeFalcon wrote:It's actually funny that some slappy from the Podunk Post in Florida thinks anyone aside from a handful of retired geriatrics knows or cares about his opinions on anything, let alone the latest bandwagon he has climbed on to.

As one of those who some might say is a "retired geriatric", I take serious offense to these statements.
And I do think the column went a bit "overboard" re: the BG criticism....it's been a long, frustrating season for all of us who don't have a life, right?
