Here goes...
Ohio is 5-1 and has Akron and Miami left. They lose both and finish 5-3.
Kent is 4-2 with EMU and Ball State left. They lose at least one, if not both. Kent finishes 5-3 or 4-4. Hopefully, they lose both and finish 4-4.
Akron is 3-3 and has Ohio and WMU left. Akron beats Ohio and loses to WMU. The Zips finish 4-4.
BG is 3-3 and has Miami and that school up north left. BG wins both to finish 5-3.
This leaves BG and Ohio with 5-3 records and guess who would get the MACC berth based on head to head?
Can anyone confirm the first tie breaker for multiple teams? I think it's the combined records of the West crossover opponents? If that is the case, Akron would hold the edge playing CMU, UT and WMU, currently 12-5. BG (CMU, UT and EMU...currently 8-9) and OH (NIU, WMU and EMU...currently 9-9) would be next followed by Kent State (UT, EMU and BSU...currently 6-12).
Of course all this could end Wed if BG doesn't beat Miami or Thursday if Ohio beats Akron.
Never give up til the MAC office calls and says we're eliminated.
GO FALCONS!!!! BEAT MIAMI!!!!!
