Standing Room Only tickets only available for BG/Miami game

Post by nwofalconfan »

According to the BG ticket office, the only tickets available are SRO. I hadn't purchased tickets previously as I thought I would be out of town. So, does anyone have any tickets available?

Also was told that there is not a Falcon Club tent for the game.

Buy a standing room only ticket. Sit in a seat. The Doyt currently has no General Admission seats so with this push to buy blocks of tickets what has happened is that all of the reserved seats have been purchased. Chances are many of those people will not show up or will donate their tickets to groups or people that will not show up.

So, what you should do is buy a Standing Room Only (SRO) ticket and go to the game and sit where there is an open seat. With the students sitting on the East side there will probably be some room where they normally sit.

That is what I would. Definitely buy an SRO from the ticket office (rather than buy from someone) and add to the total number of tickets we sell!!!!

I just didn't want to be playing musical chairs all night. That is my only concern.

I wonder how many of those "sold" tickets are accounting for students.

SRO announcement=announced attendance around 17,400.

Although I'd LOVE to be proven wrong... though I wouldn't LOVE to not be able to get a ticket...

This has to include all the corporate tickets sold to make the 15,000. I would be shocked if there is a genuine run on tickets...it would (at least) be completely out of character based on history.

It would also be great if it were true.

well I hope so...I figured I 'd mosey on up and buy a few at that the gate. I'll still probably go, but my wife and daughter (ok my wife) may not want to take that chance

Or buy some for yourself. Getting freebies from Sky or Marcos or from your neighbor do not help the attendance issue.

I was going call "Bullshit" on the standing room only issue. Earlier in the day I went online to see what tickets were still available. The Blade issued a promo code (BLADEMIA) for $8 tickets. When I checked this afternoon, they were giving me two tickets in section 14, row 19, I believe. I just went to check again and when I go to "single game tickets", it says "No Events/Items Available". Maybe I will just have to watch it on TV.

To those who are thinking about not going or not bringing your families, I would still go and bring them. You will be able to get seats. Perhaps Greg Christopher bought all the tickets and will be handing them out. =)

I'll still be there. Although I don't have a ticket yet. I'm hoping my buddy will make a side trip to the ticket office and buy me one. SRO doesn't bug me much, I never sit anyways (just because I paid good money for the seat doesn't mean I like to use it). Even if worse comes to worse I'll still enjoy listening to the game outside the stadium. I don't want to do that, but there ain't no way I'm not going to be in BG Weds. Only way I won't be in The Doyt is because the athletic office won't sell me a ticket.

It is almost too much to hope for, but a rowdy season ending crowd and a win would be a nice lift for the program.
