For whatever it's worth, I see a definate difference between:
"we ARE not good enough, and we WERE not good enough..."
"ARE not" equates to a white flag uf surrender, for this weekend, next weekend, and the rest of the foreseeable future. Crazy Frank used to say stuff like this at Lake State a few years ago...shortly before he got canned.
"WERE not" implies that altho we didn't get it done last weekend, at some other time, under some different circumstances victory is attainable.
We're young, and somewhat undersized. We're going to have trouble with some of the larger, and more physical teams on our schedule...especially when our opponents have no reason to fear playing us shorthanded!
I'm no expert, but a pp that's 0-37 is broken, and needs fixed.

Freddie you sound like "Slick Willie"...
And make as much sense as he did....I quote:
Here's what Clinton told the grand jury (according to footnote 1,128 in Starr's report):
"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true."
Just kidding!!

I think my brain just imploded. Massive headaches are so much fun right before lights out. Thanks FB. D!ck.FalconBlue wrote: "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. After reading some of the quotes from Palluch, I am beginning to think that he and Gerard Gallant, the newly deposed coach of the Blue Jackets, must have been reading the same book on media relations.
It took ownership to pull the plug on Dougie (Maclean)'s boy, perhaps Ribeau will take a hint (he is on the board of Worthington Industries, CBJ owner McConnells company) and do the same.
But then again, this is a university. He will probably have to set-up a committee to deterimine whether a coaching change is waranted. Then another committee to determine how to do it. And another... Well you get the point.
Go Falcons!

I think hiring and firing decisions are generally left to the AD (unless the coach goes nuts and steals something, shoots someone, starts an internet porn site or something like that). I don't think our new AD is going to make any changes unless he's forced to for at least a year.
I think it will take him at least that loing to get his bearings.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
