It's a bit pathetic, no?
A decent team would throttle our combined squads...
That's an Idea. Combine the squads like "Remember the Titans". Then fire all coaches and combine the salaries to get a good one.

Just think! 30K screaming fans!
Yeah! We can call ourselves the Roc-ons!
The dance team could be called the "Falcketts."

Did Stone actually say that Ellis likes the left hash or was he merely stating that the left hash was a better option because it wasn't pure mud around the 15 yard line on the left hash?
Stone said he actually talked to Ellis and Ellis said he wanted to kick from the left hash.

Then that is absolutely ridiculous that we didn't get the ball on the left hash at some point over those first three plays. It certainly looked like there was still some grass on the 15 at the left hash. It was all mud on the right hash. I realize that we were trying to score 7, but we easily could have run that QB draw off left tackle to lose 3 yards..
The CB was offsides and the ref threw his flag right at the snap.
Maybe I'm crazy, but the CB didn't appear to be anywhere close to the LOS to me when they showed the replay. The ref wasn't even lined up with the ball.
I think the ref knows where to line up Maybe it was just hard to tell in the where the ball really was. At any rate, the Miami cornerback on the far left side of the defensive formation was offsides right in front of the ref.
The CB was in front of the pole with the 4 on it. Lou Holtz made about 100 dumb errors during the game.
I am not sure how I feel this morning about either team. The weather was such a huge factor, that its hard to say which school had the better team last night. The score is a reflection of the rain, mud, wind, and field conditions. It will go down as one of THE games between the schools because of the weather. The Dayton Daily News called it the "Mud Bowl". (not very original, but....)
Both teams are young and both teams will be back in true form next year. Both teams have to face their "other" big rival next week in Toledo and Ohio. I will be a happy guy if both teams can end the season with a victory.

After hearing Lou talk, I think he contributed to the soggy conditions just as much as the rain. I'd hate to follow him at a salad bar while having a conversation.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
Here's my question on the Ellis kick. Miami used two timeouts in a row. Ellis was out there practicing his form, when he came to the sideline, if I'm Gregg Brandon, I ask him about the conditions. If he has any doubt about where he's kicking from, why go for it on the fourth down? Neither play is a high-percentage in those conditions.
You go for it on 4th down and don't make it, it's the same result.
I just think putting your freshman kicker (who is .500 on the year) out there in less than ideal conditions is asking for trouble.

following up on that, I coulda sworn I was watching the OSU game three days before the fact...I mean c'mon I'm a diehard Buckeye, but when I left the game before halftime I expect the ESPN crew to actually be talking about the game that they're supppsed to be announcing.

Since your team will be playing on a real field next week, im sure Good Ol Gregg will open up the playbook again... if he can find it anyways. I heard that Turner ran out of papers and was using pages to blaze up!
Rodney Gamby and Brock Dodrill loser!
And what's with all the players slipping on that green brick last Tuesday at the Gayass Bowel?

Interesting how very few BG fans "piled on" on the Rockette board during Toledo's struggles this year.
Yet, here you are.
Its UT BG week no? RWT piled on multiple times a day every day. You know this.
Apparently this idiot thinks that 1 is more than very few
BUT, what happened to our pass rush in the 3rd quarter? What happened to stopping the run in the 3rd quarter?
Miami came out and took it to us after half-time. They played harder and better than we did in the second half and they won. The weather actually kept it close for us so we had a shot to win at the end.
One would like to blame the weather for all the errant throws and a few of the drops, but since that has been happening all season, it's hard to put all the blame on Mother Nature.
