I think that the fans and the game will have some sort of recognition of his passing. That's not to say that there won't be some @$$holes that will clap or be obnoxious during that recognition, but while the schools hate each other, there is a level of respect between the two.

I think it would be cool if the did it in a way Ohio State could be proud of him and the rivalry in a similar way to the way TG refers to him as former BG assistant.

The p.a. guy should say "Ladies and Gentleman this storied rivalry lost a key figure yesterday. At this time we ask that you rise in a moment of silence to honour former Ohio State assistant coach Bo Schembechler."

Except do it without the "u" in "honor". Too Canadian.

And I'd like to think they'd mention Michigan in there somewhere, even if it pained them to do so.

That's easy.....

"College Football lost one of its greatest legends yesterday. He was from Barbarton, Ohio. Played collegiate football for Miami University. His coaching career took him through Bowling Green State University, Miami University, Ohio State and finally to the University of Michigan. Not only has the University of Michigan lost a family member, but Ohio has lost one also....... please shut your mouth (you have to say that for all the half-wit tOSU fans in attendance) for a moment while we remember Ohio Native and Michigan Football Coach, Mr. Bo Schembechler"

Nice tech. That would be exactly. right. I'm sure 99.99% of OSU fans will be respectful.

I'm really surprised Miami doesn't have a story about Bo on their website. With their esteemed history and proud attitudes I figure they would put it up there.

So am I. I just bought the updated version of "Miami of Ohio: The Cradle of Coaches." http://www.cradleofcoaches.org/

I plan on reading Bo's chapter this evening.

Bo would come back to Oxford time to time and had maintained a relationship with his alma mater.

I didn't come across any, but that's not to say they're not around somewhere. I really just need a month off to camp out at Jerome Library sometime.

RIP Bo...may you be in heaven for a day before the devil knows you're dead.

This is from today's Blade. Pretty awesome photo! (thanks for the heads-up, Maureen!!)
