What a coach say to recruit a kid to a program that lost to Temple? Come to BG and you can make it better?? Honestly, what do you say to recruit someone to a losing program other than we can give you a free education. The worse we look the more difficult it is to recruit I'd imagine. Ask why would a top 5, 4 or 3 star prospect want to come to BG?orangeandbrown wrote:Let the coaches recruit.

What did Kelly say to kids to get them to go to CMU? What did Solich say to kids to get them to OU?
You don't sell the now in college football as much as you sell the future (particulalry if the now is bad) and the past. You sell the school, the tradition, the facilities and the system you're running. Does it really matter if we're 8-4 or 4-8 this year? Not if you point out the ESPN games, the recent bowl wins, the SEBO Center, the great academic programs. the upcoming home games against big time schools like Boise State and Minnesota. We're a school with a lot of positives in a conference with a nationwide rep for playing exciting football.
Temple..sure they beat us this year, but we've crushed them the last two times before that and we'll crush them again if you committ to us.
That's what you tell a kid.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
