orrrrrrrr you are just an idiot othewise you would know that freddie played QB in high school and the reason he choose BG was that we said he could play QB because othe big schools wanted him as a WR. They had no idea that we would run him 27 times a game. Hell, i don't think our coaching staff knew we would do that until we got in the game. Everything that he showed during that scrimmage before the season started indicated that the offense wouldn't change. And trust me, if we played Wisconsin in week 2 and freddie was the starter, we prolly wouldn't of scored. Does anybody know if he completed a pass longer than 15 yards????

I hope Glaud turns out to be special and steals the job. I'm not too enamored with Turner anymore, and Sheehan's still very raw. They all probably have a long ways to go this offseason.
I heard Corey was moving to QB, so he could throw to himself... :-D
Easy! You are going to see those other parents again, you know. :-D
Believe me, Anthony's family and mine are very good friends. We think the best of Anthony and they feel the same way about Corey. Corey and AT have a special bond and that's the way it should be between a QB and his receivers. Even when many on this board have gotten down on AT, Corey was always right by his side. Things are going to be great next year, you wait and see.

I guess if things aren't great next year....I'll eat a bug!!!

DEFINITELY rather eat the bug. Most bugs could be swallowed quickly and you wouldn't have to taste. Sure you get that creepy crawly feeling as they go down your throat, but certainly that is preferable to the god-awful Arby's aftertaste!

You're right there, however, once the game started and then progressed on it was very obvious we weren't able to throw and they still couldn't stop him.

Kent State sure as hell stopped him when it became apparent he couldn't throw... I'm pretty sure Kent State is worse than Wisconsin

The score stopped Barnes.. no one in the country is going to run when you are down 21-3 at the half.

I voted for Sheehan, ONLY because the coaches won't try to have some many damn called running plays for him, and that he'll only take off running when he doesn't have an open throw anywhere!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Barnes was 7-17 with 2 INT's against Kent in just over a half of football. He ran the ball 12 times for 35 yards. He wasn't effective in the air or on the ground. When you can't throw the ball, people know you're going to run the ball. When the other team knows you're going to run, you will soon find that you are unable to run the football either.

Freddie is a great athlete and I'm looking forward to seeing him get a lot of touches as a WR He is NOT a QB. Yes, he had a wonderful game against Wisconsin when they ran a very basic defense, but once he ran into teams that were able to scheme a defense designed to stop him, he was toast.

I'm still voting for AT at this point...I wanna see if he steps it up. West Va and Iowa recruited him pretty hard...I wanna see that #17. If not, find the best QB that can lead the team down the field AND into the end zone. I want that player.

Hey Flipper Kind of like Garrett Wolfe at Northern Illinois, heh? When teams started "scheming" against him he was "nothing". Nothing but a player who will be playing on Sunday next week. Bottom line is, if FB can get his throwing in line over the off season he will be unstoppable next season. I like the way Glaud has so many votes and no one has seen him play yet. Hilarious.

Voting for Barnes makes less sense than voting for Glaud. We KNOW Barnes can't/won't play QB. Glaud is an unknown quantity, he might be able to play QB here...

Just like we "knew" Harris couldn't play QB after playing tailback and kick returner and throwing horribly his freshman year.

Bottom line is we're all extremely spoiled by outstanding qb's and we expect freshman and sophs to come out and do what #4 did in his first year. Its not gonna happen, kids have to develop. #4 was a freak occurrence, it won't happen to us again for a long time. For now we have to buckle down, train our guys, and turn them into the great players that they have the talent for. Its not an overnight job.,
Yeah right girl!

Excellent point, Niz.

Cowboy, you may be right. I don't think FB is Josh Harris. But I hadn't looked at it that way.
