I'm glad to read something positive but, unfortunately, every indication that I have seen has been to the contrary. I truly hope it is nothing but BS.The Niz wrote:The players are not jumping ship. It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

If there's one thing I've learned over the years its that you can trust "rumors" on this site to be pretty accurate. BG is not OSU or Notre Dame. WEe're a smaller school with a tighter knit student body/fanbase. The rumors that are posted on this site have at least an 85% hit rate, probably higher. It's very rare that a rumor is posted here and it doesn't become public knowledge within a week or two.
I heard today that I'm waking up with $100 million and a harem of strippers to do my bidding.hammb wrote:It's very rare that a rumor is posted here and it doesn't become public knowledge within a week or two.
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."

Sorry, TG, but that rumour has no foundation in reality whatsoever. My bank manager says cash was mistakenly paid to you, but was redirected to me on discovery of the error. Then, by way of apology, he said that all charges relating to this sorry episode will be debited to you, but you never know with bank managers, so we'll just have to see what happens. As for the harem, they're mine.
After talking to some of the teams staff, the only one of these rumors that has any solid base right now is Ellis, but that still isn't even for sure. If someone talks to Rojas any time soon and then talks to me we'll know for sure.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:The Niz wrote:The players are not jumping ship. I'm not saying that isn't true, but I am fairly close with one of the players who went and talked to Mahoney when he heard he was going to quit. Mahoney said he was going to Eastern Illinois...but maybe your right. The Niz wrote:Mahoney didn't quit, he is a personal friend of mine. He had a staff infection in his knee. He was VERY upset at the idea that he couldn't make it back in time for the Miami game, he kept reassuring me that he would be. He'll be back.bgfalcon03 wrote:I heard Sean left too.. also heard that Kevin Mahoney quit.
For the teams sake I hope you are.

I thought Frericks was going to go a 1AA in Illinois...are these Illini jerks stealing our players?
Kids leave all the time...the possible Ellis departure is bothersome because he was singled out in the media for some things that weren't his fault entirely.
The Machiavellian side of my personality wonders if the media comments form Brandon weren't made because he wanted Ellis to leave or,knew he was going to leave and wanted to minimize his loss.
I hope they were meant as a means of challenging him to improve no matter how oddly worded they seemed.
