Great Win

Post by FindlayFalcon »

Way to go Falcons. A big win over Notre Dame 3-1. 3,186 in attendance. Student section sounded nice and loud over the internet--especially with the Thunderstix. We are off to a 4-1 record. Fantastic Falcons :D

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

FREAKIN' AWESOME WIN!!! Fun game, VERY loud, very fast paced, lots of electricity in the air!! Everything you want to see!!!

Also of note: The entire FOOTBALL team came to the game! (VERY COOL!!) Coach Brandon spoke between first and second period. Saw Dakich there too. Also there, Sidney Ribeau and the Mrs., along with Bob Sebo...the B!G Donor!!! Fantastic to see so many high profile people there!! Everyone is finding out how much FUN Falcon Hockey is!!!!!

And it was equally awesome to meet Todd Walker and Aaron Matthews!! You guys rock!!! :supz:

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP 'EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

VERY cool that Coach Brandon brought the team to the game! I was at an alumni chapter "function" in Indy tonight and we were talking about what a class act he is. Definitely a good move to support the other teams at the University. I think the day he takes the team to a theater department production, a chorus performance or a soccer/volleyball/softball/etc game, we start making the statue. Every day I am more proud to call him our coach.

On the hockey side of things, its great to hear a win and 3,000+ packing the ice arena! Brings me back to my college days, the sounds of the arena, the extra chill in the air, and a packed student section going nuts!!! Keep it up guys!!!

Without a doubt, it was the most exciting Falcon Hockey game I've been to in a few years. The fans were into it the whole time, the game had VERY few down points, and the gameplay was great. Way to go Icers, Jeff

You have to be kidding me!!!!!!

Can anyone else who was at tonight's game against the Irish back me up in saying that this was the most enthusiastic hockey game that BGSU has had in YEARS?!?! I don't even think that the sellout game against Ohio State last year was NEARLY as exciting!

We need to keep this level of enthusiasm up! Why not tailgate before games? Why not show up and yell at Hall until his ears bleed (and for those of you that have been to games in the past two weeks, I'm sure that you know they should!)?

Could this be the beginning of a new era of Falcon dominance? HELL YES!!!!!!! We may not have the best facility in the CCHA (Damn it, Miami!), but we certainly can EASILY have the loudest! If you were at the game tonight and thought that the atmosphere was beyond belief, get EVERYONE that you know out to the rest of our home games!

It's been over three hours since I left the Ice Arena. I'm still wearing my Falcon sweater and I'm still shaking thinking about how much fun that was (and there wasn't even a pep band!).

I don't even know what to do with myslef. What if we have a sellout with thundersitcks and such? AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'd be dead instantly! :?

I think I just said that in my last post. Most definately agree, the crowd was GREAT!

Well, I just took off my jersey, and trust me, there WAS a pep band there, we just didn't have our instruments or a director. We were the bunch right down in the NW corner on the glass, that did the "Gut on Glass" in the 1st intermission. We had about 15 band kids there, and would've played if we could have!

BGMaggot,

I thought that that section was just a little TOO sychronized! I was actually sitting right behind you guys, right next to the player walkway.

Believe me, I wasn't making any reference to the fact that our pep bands are bad (I believe we have one of the best in the nation!), I was just saying that I thought a pep band would have made the atmosphere even better, if that is possible!

From a fan to a band member, I truly appreciate all of your hard work. You guys put in so much time, and often you are an overlooked part of what makes Falcon athletics so great. I never have a greater time at basketball or hockey games than when you guys are there. And don't even get me started on what you guys do at football games!!! The new uniforms look great, by the way!

Keep up the good work, and know that you have a lot of people out there who appreciate what you do.

Now lets go take that pot of gold from the leprechauns in South Bend tomorrow!!!!!!!! I only wish I could be there.... :(

I'm glad I found an excuse to leave work to get to the game! That was just an incredible game! BGMaggot, thanks for the motivational cheers. And Bleeding Orange, if you were sitting behind them, you probably saw me too. I was the guy with the camera that kept coming over every few minutes  But if anyone asks, I was really working!!!

Great Win! GO FALCON HOCKY!!!

Post by Falconboy »

BUT, lets not have a total orgy yet and lets see how and if we continue the strong play through the next 4-5 games. It appears we got some good talent but we havent played Mich. or MSU yet. But still a great win over Notre Dame, now lets see us beat em' at their house. 8)

True we haven't played some of the bigger schools, BUT BUT BUT, we have also had a smaller team. I can't wait til the 7 come back and join in the mix!
