It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

Up front I have to admit that I have very little knowledge of women's baskteball on a national level. That isn't due to a lack of interest at all, but rather, to a simple lack of time (I know nothing about men's hoops, either). With that said, I honestly believe that our program is even or better with most "major" conference teams outside of the perennial powers (Tenn., UConn, LSU, etc...). And, given the way Indiana played against ND, I think we should have 5-7 pts. on them at home with what should be a big crowd. Talent aside (and I think we have them beat there), most women's teams aren't used to playing in a barn like Anderson when it's rockin.' I could be wrong there, but I fully expect Anderson to be on fire on Wednesday. I'll certainly be doing my part.bg_bball wrote:no talk about the game though...what do you think our chances are against the Hoosiers? I think we win by 4-7 pts.

The Hoosiers have very good guards, their SF/SG will be their top scorers. They also have a 6-7 girl, but the rest of the team is a more normal 6-1/6-0 posts. I think we can expect a usual game from Ali, but Carin/Megan are in for big nights...if that happens, we're in for another victory at Anderson.Bleeding Orange wrote:Up front I have to admit that I have very little knowledge of women's baskteball on a national level. I agree -- Their lack of elite height is one of the reasons I think we'll take 'em easily at home. Their 6-7 girl only averages around 20 minutes and under 9 points and 3 boards a game, so it's not like she's very skilled. The major-conference teams we've had trouble with have had multiple girls in the 6-4 range, and none of those games have been at home. I think IU plays right into our strengths as a team.
