Pooch is awesome!!!!!!!!!

Post by Bleeding Orange »

I just want to specifically point out the admirability of Coach Paluch's actions after tonight's game.

I was sitting right next to the player walkway during the game. After we won and celebrated in a circle, I and everyone else in the section was congratulating the team on an awesome win. When Coach Paluch was passing by, I and about 20 other people were yelling "Great game coach!" Paluch paused, looked up at everyone and said "Thank you, and thanks for coming out tonight."

It may not sound like much, but to me, this was one of the greatest acknowledgement of fan support that I have ever seen in any sport. Paluch and his team just got a huge win over ND, and I'm sure he was anxious to get into the locker room and capitalize on the momentum. I was thoroughly impressed with the few seconds that he took to thank the fans for their support. To me, that is nothing less than complete validation of the importance of fan support and the impact that 3,800 (not even a sellout!) can have on the game.

Coach Paluch obviously appreciates our support, and he certainly deserves it! Please keep supporting this man and the team. They work very hard and appreciate us more than you may think.

I'm sure he appreciated the support! I don't think I have ever seen that many people in the Ice Arena before and those thunder-stix just made it one loud a** place to be! My only question is does anyone think there would have been that many people there if there were no free shirts or thunder-stix? I guess it doesn't matter because we won in front of 3,000+, so yeah, GO FALCONS!!!!

You got to plant the seed. A lot of those that were there for the first time left with a great feeling. Section E was rocking and I think some non-fans were definitely converted. That was probably the best environment of any game I've ever seen at the Ice Arena.

After the game you could tell the team was very appreciative of everyone in the crowd. Hopefully we can see all those people back for the Wayne State game. There's no football that day, so why not?
