USA today article...

Post by ffejfalcon »

Saw this morning that since Boise State has made it to a BCS game, the MAC and 4 other D-1A non-BCS confrences will recieve $18M to split. That is double whay would normally be made.

Let's take that additional $$ and do two things with it:
1-Install field turf at the Doyt
2-Put any left over $ into a holding account until 2008 and then give the $ to the new head-coach. :D

That comes out to roughly $300K per school. Nice, but not exactly the windfall the big boys will pull down. (Don't have the exact numbers, but the Big 10 and SEC should pull in $35-40 million each for having two BCS teams.)

Yeah, I'm just saying that the extra $ is good and it can help pay for two things we need REALLY BAD!

Yeah, I hear ya. I just used it as a chance to groan over how much cash is thrown at the big boys and tipping the scales of competitive balance well off center. :(

YEESSSSS!!!

We now have the buyout. Boise State has given us a way to get out from under the big mistake Krebs made 4 years ago. Let's take advantage of it.

MACMAN, you really, really, REALLY need to lighten up. Get angry about everything all the time isn't good for your blood pressure.

AS much as i Laugh when reading here and all day in general I should live to be as old...we old enough to completly fall apart and be rebuilt. :D

SO just how far will our piece of 18m go....well if we receive a 35th of it...the school gets about 500,000.

Gee wonder what OSU will do their piece of the BCS LIONS share. I know...new sweater vests for Tressel.
