Next up, UAF

Post by bgbill »

Even though the prospects of a win aren't good, I've been planning this trip for a while, and am looking forward to visiting Fairbanks. This will complete my CCHA list. In all likelihood it'll be the only time we'll go to games there. Anyone who's been to Fairbanks have suggestions for things to see or places to eat?
Any requests?

Alas, Alaska is one of the six (soon to be five) states I have not made it to yet. So no help from me, sorry.

I would actually like to hear bigdog and other's impressions of going to UAF. I have heard that it is an absolutely brutal trip from other former players.

Hopefully a change of scenery will do this team some good! Have fun, Bill!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well, all I've learned so far is it's damn dark up here, and the Northern Lights are kind of like snipe.

Glad you made it safely. Have a great time. Hopefully you can stay-up for the game. The time lag would kill me.
