Lambeau field getting synthetic fibers sewn into their real sod. Best of both worlds?

How about the Arizona Cardinals retractable field? I haven't anything about, but apparently they roll up like a tarp after each game.

Actually the field is on one giant set of rollers, and during the day they open one end of the stadium and the field is moved (all in one piece) outside.

The new Mile High has a similar system, I posted that on one of the 100 pages of the big turf debate system.

It definitely is the best of both worlds, but probably pretty pricey.

The Steelers also have this done to Heinz Field. You can be the judge on whether that works...

I know Heinz has the underground heating coils, but I don't know that they have the synthetic/natural blend that Mile High has and Lambeau is getting. . .

It's a futuristic blend of beach sand and green paint. They're selling it as a tribute to the evolution of the forward pass on the beaches of Cedar Point.

This Synth/Natural weave, is this the same stuff they use on Michael Reghi's turf?
