Falconboy is sure to weigh in on the rather obvious size problem. Pretty nice stance though, and I like the game-face.

POP RULES!!!!!

Where my sister lives in Chicago, they just heated the natural fields and put up lights!!! mind you the area where the kids play they have 5 or 6 fields. and they have games that play all day...its awesome.

Its realy a shame the BG has never had and will never have youth football.

Dr. Stoner started a flag football program four or five years ago. Kids in grades 3-6 can play flag football in the fall. You may have seen them playing outside the Doyt on game days.

If you want real football, any member of St. Aloysuis or St. Thomas Moore Catholic parishes can play CYO football with the St. Rose team in Perrysburg. When my son was in sixth grad last year, I think there was nine kids from BG on his team. (There was about 24 or 25 with the Perrysburg and Rossford kids). There was only three this year as most of them played at the junior high this year.

The reason there is no youth football in BG, imo, is quite simply hockey. Hockey has ruled in BG for a long time. Again imo, hockey and football attract the same kids. Kids that would be playing football when they get to the third grade have already been playing hockey for three or four years. And now the proliferation of soccer ( :vom: ) takes even more kids away from football. And they start playing soccer about as soon as they can walk. So the number of kids in BG that would participate in a youth football program in BG is rather limited.

HEY! HEY! HEY!

Soccer is REAL football :!: :supz:

And I agree with the hockey comment in BG. In Columbus, we played soccer in the spring and fall with softball/baseball being our summer sport.

I hear he is quite the expert on size problems.

Carl,

In that type of line up he looks like an interior lineman. He is telegraphing the direction of his block by looking to his right. Work on that during the off-season.

J Swoop:

Noah was a victim of playing too many positions, IMO. In his first year playing 11-man tackle football, he played, on offense - guard, tackle, tight end, split end and fullback; meanwhile, on defense, he played tackle, end, inside LB, outside LB and CB. He did OK because he's a decent athlete, but he didn't develop a lot in certain areas because of all the movement.

Don't you worry, he'll be ready for next year!

What you didn't see was the cutie off to the right sideline he was watching (like father, like son). He actually made a great block on the kid coming in from his left (the girls brother)

At that age he's more likely looking at the really cool weed that's in the shape of Iowa and has no idea who he's supposed to be blocking. Not that it matters since the kid he's supposed to be blocking forgot he's on defense and plans to block Noah. Or maybe Noah's really faking out the OLB on the left by looking right before he cuts back and takes out a knee.
