Last I heard BGSU doesn't just "give" out the diplomas....if he didn't finish his requirements, he won't graduate. If his situation is true, it's pretty sad.....

I have a piece of paper that begs to differ....

But yeah, it's pretty poor of him, and having heard it from at least two people who "would know", I have to think it's unfortunately true.

BGSU does "just give away" degrees. Well, honorary diplomas. See Scott Hamilton for the best example I can think of.

Hershiser is officially off the Hall of Fame ballot. Orel only received 4.4% of the vote, but needed 5% to remain on the ballot for future years.

Here's the list of players that received less than 5% of the vote.

Even more people voted for Tony Fernandez. Seriously.

In reading some other forums, people were saying they were surprised how many votes both Ripken and Gwynn got. If there are valid arguments on why either of them should not be in the Hall of Fame, I'd love to hear them.
