Bowling Green enters AP basketball poll

Post by bgsufn »

Bowling Green has little time to celebrate its return to the Top 25. The Falcons joined The Associated Press women's basketball poll at No. 25 on Monday, and they'll face their biggest challenge of the season Tuesday night against No. 4 Duke in Cancun.

Bowling Green (7-1) was last ranked in the final two polls last season, when coach Curt Miller's team finished 28-3 to set a school record for victories. The Falcons' bumping of Texas from the Top 25 was the only major change in the poll after a light week in which most teams were taking semester exams.

...

Since losing to Notre Dame on Nov. 13, Bowling Green has won six straight by an average of 29.5 points. The Falcons' closest game in that stretch was an 86-67 win over Temple.

Holding steady at #21 in the coaches poll.
