Barring injury, I'll eat 5 gabajillion bugs if Macon gets more touches than Ransom next season.

Lets do loser buys winner a ticket and they go to the game together. That way I have a reason to come back to BG for a game even if I lose.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:Any bet you want. I'm up for something friendly like that. I'm moving away from the area before then, so I'm not sure it will work out for going to games because I don't know what games I'll be able to make the year after next with travel and all.Globetrotter wrote:Lets do loser buys winner a ticket and they go to the game together. We can figure something out when it gets closer to the season. Maybe something like loser donates 20 bucks to Grant's MS charity or something like that.

Is this kid REALLY committed?
After looking at the BG list of commits on Scout.com, I still don't see this kid listed. And, If I read correctly, he theoretically could be on campus for 2nd semester if he "graduated" from his JC. Wpnder of that was a "soft verbal" that we saw and assumed to be firm?

Thanks for that link...I'd seen that before, but my point was that the supposedly "official" BG list via Scout had the other four kids mentioned, including the OL from Fla., and the punter from the JC in Ill....that's why I'd wondered why this kid wasn't listed. But thanks again.

The services suck... Scout.com doesn't have this kid on their radar at all and neither Scout nor Rivals has Josh Miller from Palatka, FL listed and he was just named the county POY by the newspaper down there and he has offers from Miami (FL), Louisville, BGSU, UCF and USF.
They do a great job on the elite **** and ***** kids but not so great on everyone else.
On edit
I almost forgot...the Scout.com list is no more "official" than what you might read here or anywhere else on the internet until signing day when the University publishses the list of kids that have inked those LOI's

This kid looks like he could be a really, really good get:
http://www.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp? ... _key=52217
He probably needs to put some weight on so he doesn't get snapped in two on crossing routes, but a 6-2 WR with 4.4 speed is exactly what our recieving corps needs. The speedy 5-11 kids are great, but we really lacked a big man this year who could go up and get the ball. Lets hope he has hands!

He ran a 4.69 or so at a combine in Columbus. They listed him as being from Trotwood, but I'm 99% sure he's the same kid.Bleeding Orange wrote:This kid looks like he could be a really, really good get:

I know it's not "official" in the true sense of the word, but they still use a BG heading as their "masthead" if you will... that's what I was referring to when I said the "official" site. Still doesn't seem to make sense that Rivals would list this kid, referring to him as the "best Tex. JUCO RB" etc. and that Scout doesn't seem to know he exists. But I realize that NOTHING is official until the 1st week of Feb.

From what I picked up today, this kid broke all of Tomlinson's Texas high school records. Oklahoma and one other Big 12 were after him. Problem is he may have some academic issues and have problems being eligible.
