Down 2 at the Half

Post by BGGrad01 »

Samarco has 16 points on 14 shots from the field. Miller without a FG, but has 2 FTs and 5 boards.

19 BG personal fouls in the first half plus a technical (presumably on Coach Dakich). Otis with 3 fouls in 5 minutes and Sims with 2 in 1 minute. Marshall was in the double bonus 8 minutes into the game and shot 21 first half free throws.

Solid road win tonight by 1. A nice 13-0 run in the middle of the second half opened it up to double digits and BG held on at the end. Samarco had 20+ and Miller had 18/10. Dusan had 12 points also. I think Moten and Clements finished with only 6 each, but they were both key in the second half run.

3 wins in a row! I believe that constitutes a streak!

Shucks, we're 7-4. 6-3 v. D1. What the heck.

It's difficult to gauge our team based on our record. On one hand, we've played some very low RPI teams. One the other hand, and I saw this personally, those were actually some quite decent teams that had those low RPIs. What is telling is that we've gotten two road wins in a row. For this team at this point in the season, those road wins are definitely nothing to sneeze at.

Kent and Akron just spanking on their home courts. Kent lost at home to YSU. If there was any chance that they were going to play themselves onto the bubble with a run during MAC play, that chance is completely gone now. Akron had ball control issues against #25 Nevada. Nevada looked like a good, refined team, but they certainly did NOT look like the #25th best team in the country.
