I just got that, too. Hopefully it will be back up after the half.

FOUL DIFFERENTIAL:
The tihng I'll say about it has to do with our style of play. The scrappy, man defense is going to result in a lot of fouls and many of them are ticky tacky. On the offensive end since we don't really work it inside we don't draw a lot of fouls. Many have mentioned how McLeod would work and spin and draw an incredible amount of fouls and head to the free throw line- if Samaraco could do that it would make a world of difference. In games like tonight when Samarca can't buy an open look, he could make the difference from the line, but he can't get there.
EDIT: of course as soon as I post that Samarco draws the foul on the three point attempt. Looks like he could be putting the team on his shoulders. . . we'll see... heck of a game.

Agreed. Many of the fouls tonight were very ticky tacky and some fouls were called simply to give the officials the opportunity to test their whistle-blowing skills, but we need to adjust to the officials a little bit. We have always been a very aggressive team defensively, which results in a good field goal percentage defense, but it gets us into consistent foul trouble also. On the offensive end, we get called for at least 2 moving screens per game due to the nature of the offense. This just adds to the foul trouble.Dayons_Den wrote:FOUL DIFFERENTIAL:

I'm disappointed in the loss tonight, but the team showed some good things coming back in the second half. Overall, I'm pretty excited and optimistic for the MAC season. If Moten can continue to play well and Marschall comes back healthy, I think we will have a solid conference record.
