Well, on the bright side,
- Brian Moten had his second consecutive good scoring night and was named to the all tournament team. It appears that he is now a real option for the offense, and that is something that we've all been eagerly waiting to see for the past year!
- Nate Miller continues his consistent scoring and rebounding.
- Marcshall will be back soon.
- Hamblet continued to rebound and dish it out. Solid guy.
- The foul problems forced DD to use his bench. 10 players and 10+ minutes.
- We lost by three on the road to an above average team, and we were seemingly homered in the process. We held them to 33% and 27% for 2's and 3's.
- We kept our turnovers in check again.
On the less darker side,
- We were only out rebounded by 5. We were beat on the offensive boards by 6.
- We haven't been fouling all that much this year. What was different last night?
On the funny side,
- How did Matt manage 5 fouls in 12 minutes and fail to get even one rebound? What a ding dong.

I love Matt's effort but he plays the shortest 6 11" guy I've ever seen. He can't jump more than a couple of inches and his timing isn't the best. Oh well he's a great student and one of the hardest workers you will ever see.
I do think we will see more and more of the Larson/Polk combination as the year goes on.

Lefeld's effort as a Falcon is nothing short of heroic, as you mention.
I think this team, with the following rotation can compete in the MAC.
To start (remembering it doesn't really matter who starts in DD's system):
Marschall
Miller
Samarco
Dusan
Hamblet
--
Moten, Lefeld, Clements, Sims, Polk, Larson off the bench.
CORRECTED TO ADD Clements (doh!)

Throw in Clements as well. Nice depth this program hasn't seen for years, maybe never under DDorangeandbrown wrote:Lefeld's effort as a Falcon is nothing short of heroic, as you mention.
