Condolences to the Metzgers....

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

I'm not sure the best place to do this, but Mike Metzger's mom passed away yesterday suddenly and unexpectedly.

Many of you know, but some don't, that Metz's dad, Larry, is also a board member as Ornithologist...

Metz and Ornithologist... you and your family are in my prayers big man. SO SO SO sorry... I've been there and know there aren't any words that help right now. Just know you're on our minds.

My thoughts, too, Metz and dad.

I've only had the pleasure to meet Metz a few times, but he and his family are in my thoughts right now.

Oh man, that's terrible.

You'll be in my thoughts guys. It's a real shame anytime something like that happens to someone completely unexpectedly.

Oh my God.

Metz, Orinthologist, my thoughts are with you in your time of grief. I never met her, but knowing how Mike turned out, she must have been one heck of a lady.

So sad.

Oh my God... I don't know what to say. She was a cool, cool lady.

Much love to the Metzger family.

Thank you guys. It's been a pretty bad shock considering she didn't have any medical problems that we knew about. She's been walking a few miles a day for the last few years and has been in really good shape so this was totally unexpected.

We don't know what happened yet and might not until we get the death certificate which they said could take like 4 weeks. I feel worse for my dad, things are just going to be different for sure.

Some of you on here are pretty close to me and I know a lot of you know my dad and my mom as well so I'll post the viewing and funeral information below for you. Thanks again for all your kind words.

The viewing with be this Thursday from 2pm-9pm at Freck's Funeral Chapel. It's in Oregon, OH on 1155 S. Wynn Rd. The funeral service will be Friday morning at 10am starting at the Freck's and then going to Toledo Memorial Cemetery. The funeral home phone number is (419) 693-9304 if you were to need any additional information.

I am so sorry for you. Please take comfort in knowing that no one is truely gone unless they are forgotten. May she live on in your memories.

Take care.
