Of course, your ideal contract for any coach would be game by game, since "half by half" would seem petty.

"Coach, do you think your team did well enough in the first half to earn yourself a contract extension for the second half?"

"Well, I don't know. We did okay on the defensive end but we're not hitting our shots. I sure hope so. I'm going to go in the locker room and talk to the AD and then we'll know. My wife has the car gassed up just in case."

I think we're on to something here.

This is getting funny. DD schedules the weakest bunch of teams in the land, gets a few wins and knows that suckers will buy into it hook, line and sinker. Reminds me of what George Bush did when he pulled the wool over the eyes of the masses. It will take awhile for you all to see the truth.

You know what? You're right. The two situations couldn't be more related or similar.

True, the MAC is rather weak this year. However, given the state of this program over the last several years, I would be shocked if we finished within two games of .500 in the MAC. I actually hope we don't reach .500 because we need DD gone! The schedule is an embarassment.
It seems to me that the scheduling is textbook for a young team, build up their confidence to get ready for the MAC schedule. What good would it do these guys to get bashed by teams just to improve our Sagarin ranking?

Now in two years, if these guys have progressed as we hope, the schedule should pick up to challenge them more to get ready for the MAC.

OU lost by 10 at Marshall tonight.

The MAC race may turn out to be wilder than ever.

Thanks for pointing that out, Flip. I know this is the hoops forum but I get sick of people ripping Bush and saying he's the worst president in history. Obviously, most of these folks forgot about Carter and Clinton. And if Bush is so bad, why couldn't the Dems find ANYONE to beat him? What's that say?

Carry on....my wayward son.

Seriously? After they just beat Cincy?

I'm tellin ya BG has as good a shot as anyone. Kent looks like garbage compared to how they usually are. Akron is probably the best team in the MAC right now but BG ain't far behind.

Akron has won 6 games in a row, albeit against horrid competition. They've already surpassed their win total from a year ago, but against one of the worst schedules in the country.

The above is from Jacobs on the women's post.

It appears Akron women have the same schedule maker as the BG men. I hope the BG men get better results in conference play than the Akron women did today.

Well they did find someone to get more popular votes than Bush in 2000. Unfortunately, popular votes mean nothing to the Electoral College (despite the Florida Supreme Court).

Did I hear this right? Weakly scheduled BGSU beat a team that MAC East powerhouse Ohio LOST to?
