Again, this shows the importance of recruiting players who have an explicit understanding of the expectations and the ability to fulfill them as evidenced by their track record in HS and AAU ball.
I just can't understand why this is so difficult. It's an enormous waste of time and energy for both Sullivan and the BG basketball program.

Especially for a guy like Dakich who is soooo strict. I think that what likely happened was that Dakich got behind and had to start stretching things when it came to recruiting. To get the quality of player he wanted in here he had to forsake the quality of person he wanted in here.JoeFalcon wrote:Again, this shows the importance of recruiting players who have an explicit understanding of the expectations and the ability to fulfill them as evidenced by their track record in HS and AAU ball.

Is it just me or does this dismissal have a much different feel then the last 10. There were no posts like "here we go again" about Dakich. I think that he may have weeded out all of the issues finally.

This team just has a different "feel" too it, for lack of a better word. Yeah the schedule has been crappy, and yeah we have no clue how the MAC season will shake out, but these guys seem to enjoy each other, and that's always more fun to watch.
The quality of the product is definitely improved this year. Whether that translates to a championship or more years for Dakich remains to be seen. I think it'll be an exciting ride regardless.

This team is full of guys who can (for lack of a better word, lesser word) explode offenseively. It is fun to not know who will play second fiddle every night. It is also fun for me to see guys like Moten, presumably rise from the pack of Simms, Moten, Clements at the 2-3 spots and develop. That is my favorite part of sports. I agree an entirely different feel.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:This team just has a different "feel" too it, for lack of a better word. I will be headed down next Thursday to OU from C-Bus for the game. GO BG.
