It is still amazing to me how good this team actually is. I mean, I've been watching all of these players for a few years, and I still am amazed. There is something truly, truly special happening here.

Watching this team today it was entirely clear that this team is hungry, and their fans are, too. I kind of removed myself from being a fan of the team at one point today and just listened to what was going on around me. It was so cool to hear people screaming for the defense to hold UB under 10 pts, 20 pts, 30 pts, etc. throughout the entire game. I find it to be really cool that our fans get it - it isn't about scoring a million points, it is about putting your foot (figuratively, of course  ) on your opponent's neck! Do that, and the points will come - in droves.

One concern that I do have for this team, as a whole, is free throw shooting. Watching them in their last two games (Akron and UB), the team inability to hit the free throw is somewhat glaring, especially in comparison to how utterly competant every other aspect of the team's game is. I believe that this is a team that can have success in the NCAA tourny, but to be special in the tournament, I think they will need to be able to perform a lot better at the stripe. The cool thing - I am totally confident that they will be by the time March rolls around! Man I love this team! :D

On the whole, I am totally enamored with the ability of this team. I am grateful, also. I am grateful because, by simply watching this team execute, I have learned a TON about the game of basketball. I have watched men's college hoops and the NBA for my entire life, and the game of basketball has always seemed to me an exercise in chaos and anarchy. This women's team has shown me, first hand, that there is a method to the madness of basketball, and they have given me a much greater appreciation for the sport. That is a testament to the abilities of the players and the coahcing staff. I don't mean to insult anyone (though I know this statement will - my appollogies in advance), but I really don't understand how anyone who isn't a frontrunner or closed-minded (not in the PC sense) can't appreciate the women's game. It baffles me because this is great, great stuff!

The womens game is the truest form of basketball left. That is why I have a true appreciation for the coaches at the highest level of DI basketball that get their kids to play for them. You truly have to be an X's and O's coach to be successful in this game. You can go out and recruit all of the athletes that you want, but unless you can teach them how to really play the game, you aren't going to be successful. The mens game has gotten to the point where there is a lot of 1-1 and pick and roll situations. The guys are so much bigger that they make the court smaller. I still love watching mens college basketball, but I will watch a womens game anyday, of course I might be just a little biased.

During my time at BG, I always enjoyed the women's game more than the men's game.

Coaching strategies and fundamentals were the key to those great women's teams in the late 80's and early 90's.

Men's games were a lot of fun, but I just enjoyed watching the women's games......and it had NOTHING to do with players named Susie or Jackie. :-D

I love women's hoops...it gets criticized a lot because it's played below the rim. But, I'm 6'-5" and back when I weighed under 200lbs I had a vertical leap of close to 40 inches. So, I've done a lot of the "above the rim" stuff...if I can do it it isn't that big of a deal. What I couldn't do is master the discipline and mental approach needed to actually play the game.

These ladies have done that and I have the greatest respect for thier ability to do so. They play great basketball and they're a lot of fun to watch.

SOPHOMORE GUARD Lindsey Goldsberry

"That's the only way I know how to play, all-out."

I don't think there's a whole lot that needs to be said about that one.

I LOVE THIS TEAM! =)

I pretty much still don't enjoy Women's hoops except at the college level.

As much as I hate overconfidence, I have a very hard time envisioning a MAC team beating us this year. I just don't think the seniors will let it happen.

The key will be breaking through and winning in the NCAA tourney. That would really help sustain our success, and maybe get our foot in the door of the next level of recruit -- the talented big.

From the looks of the next incoming freshman class, there is plenty of size and talent in that class. I don't think that recruiting is a problem with Coach Miller and his staff. Bowling Green women's basketball is going to be one of, probably the top team, in the MAC as long as Curt Miller is our coach. There will be NCAA tournament wins, probably this year, and beyond. I just want to see these seniors go out with what they deserve, a sweet sixteen birth. They have worked so hard to make the program what they are, and they deserve nothing less.

No doubt there is a lot more size and talent in the incoming class, but the size is capped at around 6-2. If we want to become a consistent national power, we need to start getting in on the 6-5 girls that can play.

In order to do that, we need to win in March. This is the year to get that ball rolling.

Yeah, at the SG and SF positions it seems we have improved size with SG/SF's Murdaugh, Prochaska, being 6'0'ers and most of the new guards being around 5'8-5'11. But I think the biggest thing we've upgraded with is speed and athleticism. Hopefully as we go along we'll do better at PF and Center postions and get a talented athletic 6'3-6'5 post.

AHHHHH!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!

I really don't mean to be a "jerk" and "that guy," but the word you are trying to use is ATHLETICISM. I never thought that I would find a misspelling that would annoy me more than "rEdiculous," but your incessant use of this misspelling has made me reach my breaking point.
