Florida Wins - Good Day for BG, Great Day for Browns
Florida wins the National Championship over Ohio State, as former Bowling Green head coach Urban Meyer leads Gators to 2nd National Championship. Masses of bandwagon OSU fans all over Bowling Green's campus are taking off their jerseys, hats, hoodies, as they collectively jump off the OSU bandwagon. (We'll be having a collective bonfire out by the rock later!) And the Browns are the biggest winners, as Troy Smith has his worst game of his career, surely knocking him out of the first round of the NFL Draft and into the waiting arms of the Browns in the early 2nd round, allowing them to collect Adrian Peterson and Troy Smith in April's draft.

Okay, I didn't want this thread to get too analytical, it was kind of tongue and cheek, but I see where you are coming from. I would say offense is a MUCH bigger problem than defense though. The Niz wrote:Focus on the lines. Huge defensive linemen, and tough stong o linemen. You have to have BIG linemen in the 3-4 and right now our only one is TW.
As for the BG stuff, what say you?

Me too Niz, me too.The Niz wrote:What's good for Meyer is good for BG. The more his name is tossed around the more our name gets tossed around. I've been saying since last season that I can't wait for us to find the next one just like him.
As for the Browns you take a skill player in the top 5, but focus on lines after that.
I'm hoping for Adrian Peterson.
The Buckeye bandwagon will not see a mass exodus. I don't like their fan base and I have no idea why everyone in this state must be a Buckeye fan, but I don't think their general fan base is "bandwagon". I just wonder what they're going to do with all of the OSU national championship apparel that was supposed to go on sale after the game tonight.
Re: Smith - I hope you were joking about taking him. Of all the poor Heisman winners' bowl performances, I think Troy's took the cake tonight. He was awful. Good story, great career, but an abysmal night. I wish him luck in the pros, but I don't want to see him in the Browns backfield.
Re: the game - I am stunned. I thought Florida would have to score at least 1 special teams or defensive TD and trick up OSU on offense to win the game. Nope. They dominated everywhere tonight.
I'm sure the Ginn injury had an impact on the game, but 27 points? I doubt it. He probably would have caught a bomb for a TD and a couple other passes, while opening things up for Pittman running and Smith throwing to Gonzalez/Robiskie, but I don't think it would have made up the difference tonight. Florida's defensive line was better than I ever could have imagined against OSU's front 5.
As far as Urbie, there is now no doubt in my mind what school has the best coach and coaching staff in college football.

Interestingly enough, ESPN's CFB page had an ad for the SI "Gators Championship Package" up before the third quarter wrapped up.BGGrad01 wrote: I just wonder what they're going to do with all of the OSU national championship apparel that was supposed to go on sale after the game tonight.
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."
